I hate it when tasks start automatically. Whether it's a mod, a DLC pack, or whatever we call something you download from the Creation Club, if installing it results in only appearing in my diary, I'm not a fan. For one, it's an immersion-breaker. Downloading something from CC, suddenly I had to accept that my character had heard three rumors and received a bunch of mail at once - and at the bottom of a dungeon, no less!
So I've corrected the situation myself! I've stepped through all the files on creating a club (except survival mode), making the mission a more immersive way to start. I also made some bugfixes and improvements as I found them, generally polishing the files to the standard they should have been at the time of release.
After installing this patch, no tasks will start automatically when loading the game. Instead, you must discover a series of letters, notes, and maps scattered throughout the organic, lore-friendly locations of Skyrim and Solstheim. Reading these will cause the quest to begin, after which they will proceed normally.
As I mentioned above, I've also made a few fixes and improvements, many of which I came up with at 1am, driven by purest Earl Gray. What can I say, I'm British. See the change log for details on these.
I strongly recommend that you do not install this patch on a save file that has any Creation Club content installed. If you do this, it won't break your game, but you won't benefit from some of the fixes and you may experience unusual quest behavior.
The only exception is if you've used all my individual Creation Club patches and just switched to the merged version, in which case you shouldn't notice any changes. If you do this, please report it in the bug reporting section.
The patch has two files. The master file covers most of the Creation Club files. Auxiliary files contain fixes for two Creation Club files that could not be opened in the Creation Toolkit without crashing. I had to separate them so that I could continue to use the Creation Kit to create most of the Creation Club files.
As far as I know, Adventurer's Backpack, Camping, and Tundra Homestead don't need any fixes.

I am not the original author of the Creation Club files this patch relies on. This patch is not supported in any way, shape, or form by the original author, and it is a standalone mod with its own responsibilities and flaws.
Install
Make sure you download and install all required files from Creation Club.
Download and install the patch, preferably using NMM or MO. If you want to do it manually, it should be as simple as dragging and dropping the .esp and .bsa files into the "data" folder. You don't need the source files unless you plan to change my patch yourself.
enjoy your meal!
uninstall
Uninstall the patch using the mod manager, or delete the .esp file from the "data" folder. This should safely revert any of my changes to v …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
