Universal arrow tracker
what is it?
Another Mod. obvious! Specifically a mod that adds luminous tracers to arrow projectiles. It comes with an MCM menu for configuring the color applied to the arrows and the duration of the tracker.
Install?
- Make sure you have the necessary components installed
- Install the mod manually or use the provided Fomod form (Vortex, MO2?)
How would you leave such a beautiful color on an arrow?
- Register animation "BowRelease"
- Find the closest projectile type reference in the table list
- Play with art on projectiles
Various colors are defined in various grids. I just go through all the magic effect meshes until I find one that fits, and then change the gradient within the mesh to apply a different color. The script will then determine the color selected in MCM and apply it to your lens arrow.
But wouldn't this cover custom arrows for custom modes, and custom support for my custom super custom computer game?
Yes, because doing so would significantly break the functionality. Using GetNth from GetNumberRef in the cell to register the projectile on the fly, is more hefty and 2. won't all work 100%. Additionally, during the testing I tested, the feature would glitch out at one point and would not register any flying projectiles. This happens specifically when I'm shooting arrows in a quick sequence.
Any bugs or limitations?
No. The only bug I found was that I added an MCM option for arrow spinners for your super custom builds.
But can we add custom arrows in functions?
Yes you can, the old fashioned way. Load the mod into xEdit, find the FormList, copy as copy into the new plugin, then drag and drop the custom build projectile (not the arrow) into the FormList.
FAQ
Could you please elaborate?
I don't know what else to say. If you don't have any questions, I think everything is working to accommodate your needs.
Will these work with Xbox 360?
The pagans say yes.
Is this blasphemy? Why would you use a tracker like a modern game shooter?
Because I can, it looks great.
Can you add this or that feature?
We'll see. Provide advice...

Universal Arrow Tracer
What is it?
Another Mod. Obviously! In particular a Mod that adds glowing tracers to arrow projectiles. It comes with a MCM menu to configure color, and duration of the tracers applied to arrows.
Installation?
- Make sure to have the prerequisites installed
- Install the mod either manually or with the provided Fomod form (Vortex, MO2?)
How would you allow for such beautyful color on arrows?
- register for animation "BowRelease"
- find closest reference of type projectile in formlist
- play Art Object on projectile
The various colors are defined inside the various meshes. I simply browsed through all magic effect meshes, until I figured one that's suitable, and then changed the gradiants inside the mesh to apply different colors. A script will then determine which color is chosen inside the MCM, and apply it to your shot arrow.
But, but this will not cover custom arrows, from custom mods, with custom support on my custom superduper custom built computergame?
Yeah, because doing so will greatly bug the function out. Utilizing GetNth from GetNumberRef in cell, to register the projectile on the fly, is 1. much more taxing, and 2. does not 100% work all the time. Also, during testing I figured, the function would bug out at one point, and not register any flying projectile whatsoever. This specially happened, when I was firing arrows in a quick sequence.
Any bugs or limitations?
Nope. The only bug I found I added an MCM option for, to fine tune for your super duper custom build arrows.
But can we add custom arrows to the function?
Yes, you can, the old fashioned way. Load the mod into xEdit, find the FormList, copy as override into a new plugin, then drag and drop your custom build projec …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
