UMATBR - Racially unique meshes and textures
Assign a mesh and texture folder to each race so you can modify entities and textures for one race without changing the others.
About this mod Machine translation
Assign a mesh and texture folder to each race so you can modify entities and textures for one race without changing the others.
Tired of all races having the same body hair? Want the muscles of certain races to be more defined or flexed? Frustrated by having to choose between goblin elves and mighty orcs? Then this is the mod for you.
UMATBR (Unique Meshes and Textures by Race) allows you to assign specific body meshes and body textures to each playable race (and elders) by creating a unique file path for each race. The meshes are in data/meshes/characters/[races] and the textures are in data/characters/characters/[races]. To make a race use files from a specific body mod, simply copy the .nifs into that race's mesh folder and then copy the .dds files into that race's texture files.
This mod is inspired by Unique Everything from ClassicSkyrim's angelmeats, with 0acme0's custom bodies, skins, clothes and armor for all races (for SSE).
This mod does not contain any meshes or textures, just a folder structure and an .esp that uses this folder structure. You must add your own meshes and textures for this mod to work properly.
Installation: Manually drag the mod's contents into your data folder. This should not overwrite anything, can be easily undone, and will have no effect until UMATBR.esp is activated.
Next, manually place the meshes you want to use for each race into its specific folder (located in data/meshes/actor/character/[specific race]). Then add the textures you want to use for each race in the same way (each data/texture/character/role/[specific race]). Activate UMATBR.esp and now all races should use the files in these specific folders. Deactivate UMATBR.esp and they will revert to using the files in the default folder.
important
This mod does not contain any meshes or textures. Using this mod without adding your own textures and meshes in the relevant folders will make them invisible to everyone.
Each folder must have the necessary textures or meshes. This mod overrides the paths used by each race, so any empty folder will result in invisible body parts or purple skin.
This mod does not contain any textures or meshes. When you first install this mod, you must copy the textures and meshes from the "Male" and "Female" folders (or the folders for whatever body mod you want to use) into the specific race folders, otherwise your bodies and meshes will not show up. Look in the "shouldcontain.txt" folder in each folder to see what files should be there (and note that the argon texture and mesh use different file names).
Not too important
This mod uses Breton grid for suffering characters. This mod also uses the "suffer" textures stored in the brayton folder. Move the tortured textures (hands and body, head using default positions like all other head textures) into the Breton folder. As far as I know, all the suffering characters in the game are Britons, so this is the easiest and best solution. If there are any non-Breton cakes that use tortured grids or textures, please leave me a comment.
This mod also adds textures to the Elders (race of elders). The game considers some of the older characters to be part of their own race, so I included the ability to modify their textures and meshes. These characters should all be Nords, Imperial or Bretons, so keep that in mind when assigning textures. If enough people complain about not being able to find suitable meshes and textures for the seniors (forcing them to make all the seniors look like muscular twentysomethings), I'll release a UMATBR version that makes them use vanilla textures.
What this mod can't do:
1。
This mod should not touch face textures and head meshes in any way.
This means that these files should be saved in their default folder (or a folder established by another mod), and means that this mod should be compatible with any mod that changes the face and head. This is done for compatibility, ease of use, and a desire to avoid issues with facegen.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
