About this mod Machine translation

Added load gates to the Morning Gate near the Gendarme Lighthouse and to the path to the Refugee Rest, allowing players to walk directly to Morrowind instead of traveling by boat.

describe

It's a well-known fact that Solstheim Worldspace contains a low-detailed version of vvardenfell and a large chunk of the Morrowind continent, and with borders disabled you can actually swim to these areas and move around, although there's not much to do there. It's always bothered me that there are two direct paths from Skyrim to Morrowind, but the game prevents you from following those paths because there's nothing to see. This is where my mod comes in. I added load gates at the ends of these passages that transport you to the Solstheim Worldspace, this gives you a more immersive experience and avoids having to pay Gjalund Salt-Sage 250 gold every time you want to travel between locations (unless you use fast travel). I did my best to match traffic locations so that you would show up tomorrow, where you would show up if you actually traveled this road (essentially, you wouldn't just show up at Raven's Rock, because that wouldn't make sense, so you would end up in the mountains near the border, since that's so close to the road). if you wish, You can also walk back to Skyrim from Morrowind, but the cargo doors are in very specific locations, so I added map markers to the roads in both provinces for easy access.

Disclaimer

Please keep in mind that this mod does not add any content tomorrow. These lands are uninhabited and have no added quests or landmarks. What I did was put load doors in there so people could walk between the two provinces in a more immersive way without significantly changing the landscape of the vanilla. So this mod should theoretically be compatible with any mod that might attempt to achieve this, although the only example I can think of is Shadow of Morrowind, and that mod hasn't been released for SE yet. This pattern is also the same as mine, so I wouldn't recommend using them together just because it doesn't make sense. The reason I haven't added anything here is because, well, I don't know what's going on yet. I have little to no experience with CreationKit, so I thought I'd start small with the first mod and work around this little annoyance with a really awesome game.

Install

Delaying a mod inside is as easy as dropping the .esp file into the data folder. Don't worry about scripts or anything like that.

compatibility

This mod only makes minimal edits to a cell near the Refugee Rest Area and the Morrowind side gate near the Gendarmerie Lighthouse, as well as two units away from the wilderness in Solstheim Worldspace, so it should be compatible with mods that accomplish the same mission. I haven't tested this with unique boundary gates, although I wouldn't recommend using these mods together as they both add map markers to the same area.

Recommended method

I recommend you download the mod to Remove Map Camera Limitations - Skyrim and Solstheim to remove camera limitations and allow you to view map markers in the Solstheim Worldspace. I would also recommend disabling borders by manually adjusting the ini file or downloading a mod like Skyrim.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
