Master the time

summary

What is a timetable? Timescale is the time scale in the game relative to real life time. Skyrim's default timescale value is 20, which means for every 1 minute in real life 20 minutes pass through the game. Many players like to change the value of immersion time. Also changing the timescale to a lower value (let's say 10) makes the "requires mod" more manageable. You should be aware that changing the timescale value too low (from user feedback 6 is the absolute minimum, 7-8 is a safe minimum for smooth gameplay) may break some tasks and scripts that rely on game time updates.

This mod gives you the ability to command time (hidden without polluting the active effects list), allowing you to bend time at will using 24 position presets. (Just to clarify this is automatic in the game)

Want to take your time while shopping? Just lower the timescale of the "storage" preset.

Do you enjoy spending time at home? Lower the timescale of the "Player's Home" default.

Maybe for the sake of immersion, and you like to make time pass faster when you're on the road, adjust the "Wilderness" preset to a higher value.

Are all these 23 different position presets too many? You can set the mod to Basic Usage and use a single timescale value for any location (configurable).

With this mod, you are the master of time.

Each default has a fallback default architecture. For example;

Vampire Lair Cave> Vampire Lair> Cave> Dungeon> Interior> Default

This mode tells us that if the Vampire Lair Cave's timescale value uses the default value (i.e. 0), it will fall back to the Vampire Lair preset. This fallback will continue as long as the preset value is 0, up to the default preset. If the default preset is also 0, the game's default timescale value of 20 is used.

You can check any preset fallback mode by checking its information text from the configuration menu. See picture below.

Mod has 4 different usage modes.

standard

advanced

When you first install the mod, it defaults to the standard usage mode of default timescale 10. Standard and Advanced modes include all presets. The difference between them is how you can change the presets. Advanced mode allows you to use the slider control to change the time scale to any value between 0 and 20. Standard mode, on the other hand, allows you to select a timescale value from the find menu. Allowed values are 0 (default), 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20. This is to serve as a reminder that games below timescale 6 may not work properly (see warning below). I usually use 8 or 10. You can switch between usage modes safely. I did a lot of testing to make sure it worked as expected. ! warn!

Timescale values below 7 or 8 may affect your gameplay and the game may not work properly. It's about the design of the game. From user feedback 6 is the absolute minimum and 7-8 is the minimum for smooth gameplay. Some users report that they use lower values (such as 3 or 1) without problems, but please note that the game is not designed for low timescale values, so you do so at your own risk.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
