usage
Just get rekt normally; the deflated state will trigger for 20 seconds after taking fatal damage.
If there are no friendly actors nearby during this period, the bloodletting will fail.
Upon resurrection, a stacking (20...80%) penalty is applied to Magicka and stamina recovery.
If defeated, you will also be transported to a random location and all equipped gear will be confiscated.
Once the fine expires, you can cast a power "echo" to call out the spectrum provider.
This vendor allows you to buy back your party's equipment individually in exchange for gold.
Additional Information
Simply take a 4-hour break from the game (or add 1 hour per stack) to skip the bleed penalty.
However, since you can't rest near enemies, you may need to resolve a bad situation first.
Failing that, pathfinding can be used to avoid otherwise unreachable locations.
Also tries to avoid throwing you into combat, giving up to 3 times to try again.
Beast transformations (e.g., Beast Form) will simply revert without failing.
However, these are difficult to get right. See the "Compatibility" section below.
By default, the supplier will hold all items confiscated by you.
As time goes by, this list will likely grow. If you want to prune, see the "Configuration" section below.
configuration
foxDeath comes with some configuration variables:
1foxDeathMaxDist - Maximum ally "keep alive" distance when bleeding (default 4096.0)
1foxDeathDifficulty-difficulty setting-1...2 (default 0)
-1 = easy - failure will not change
0 = Normal - clear seller gold when defeated
1 = Hard - Clears previously confiscated non-mission gear when defeated (soul-like feeling)
2 = Brutal - Clear all confiscated non-mission gear after defeat
Type "set someVar to someVal" in the console (~ key) to adjust the configuration variables.
For example "Set 1foxDeathDifficulty to 1" to set the Hard mode difficulty.
Setting 1foxDeathMaxDist to 0 will cause every bleed to fail.
Setting 1foxDeathMaxDist to -1 will completely disable the failure condition.
While harder modes will retain quest items, other unique items may be lost! Please use with caution.
compatibility
Should be compatible with anything that isn't an overhaul mod. (e.g. death substitution)
If the bleed rejuvenates the player within 6 seconds, then mods with restricted bleed scenarios should work.
After 6 seconds, a failure condition may trigger, which may cause strange behavior.
Transformations with time limits (e.g. Beast Form and Vampire Lord) require special attention to work properly.
Mods that add these will need to add their control quests to the FLST "1foxDeathTransformationQuests".
(The mission must also follow Phase 1 = Conversion, Phase 100 = Restored original mission mode)
Uninstall steps
Enter "stopquest 1foxDeathQuest" (~ key) in the console to restore all items and remove all effects.
After that, just delete the plugin normally.
(Optional) Use ReSaver (or similar method) to remove any remaining references in the save:
Warning: If you do not restore all items before deleting the plugin, they will be permanently lost. This may include task items that may permanently halt your task progress. Please avoid doing this! ——————————————————————————————————————————

Usage
Simply get rekt as normal; upon taking fatal damage, a bleedout state is triggered for 20 seconds.
If no friendly actors are nearby during this time, bleedout instead transitions to a defeat state.
Upon revive, a stacking (20...80%) penalty to Magicka and Stamina regen is inflicted.
If defeated, you are also transported to a random location, and all equipped gear is confiscated.
Once that penalty has expired, you may cast the Lesser Power "Echoes" to summon a spectral vendor.
This vendor allows you to individually purchase back your party's …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
