Take a seat

This mod is aimed at 'Room Scale' players who prefer to use real chairs while their characters use in-game furniture. It adds a 'L.A Noire: VR Case Files' method for using furniture in SkyrimVR to prevent position/rotation mismatches when using these items.

Roomscale players, have you ever tried sitting in real life and trying to align your character with an in-game chair?

Federal findings suggest that once you sit down in your role, you're no longer facing the right direction, or worse still are you just sitting on the bench?

Just because you stand up and move to the center of your game space in real life, does the game put you banging at the foot of your chair, depending on your eyeballs?

Address these issues by introducing methods inspired by "L.A Noire: VR Case Files" when players use furniture such as chairs, stools or benches, from standing room games to seated games.

A simple explanation of what the mod does:

When the user selects furniture to sit on:

it stopped the sit animation

fade screen to black

A message box will be displayed asking the player if they are seated before pressing the trigger button to continue.

Once the trigger button is pressed, the sit animation continues and the screen fades from black back into the game, at which point your character will be positioned, positioned and properly positioned on the furniture, consistent with your real life.

When the user exits the furniture:

it stopped the standing animation

fade screen to black

A message box will be displayed asking the player to stand and return to the center of their play area and then press the trigger button to continue

After pressing the trigger button, the standing animation continues and the screen reverts from black to the game with the player next to the furniture and the batting box in the correct position.

NOTE: This mod uses scripts that are attached to all furniture parts available in the game. It is highly recommended that you back up your save game before using this mod.

Install:

It is recommended to create a save character before installing this mod, and to back up any save games, so that if you decide this mod isn't for you, you can cleanly go back to your previous state.

• Download and install using the mod manager or install manually - the choice is yours!
• Play games

The mod now includes an option book called "Seating Posture Vol.1" which will be automatically added to your inventory. You can use it to adjust the seat height of: chairs, stools and mounts.

The book also allows you to turn horse support on or off. It should be set to off by default.

Notice. If using the mod 'Convenient Horses', make sure you configure it so that you need to crouch to open horse dialogue, then enable 'Convenient Horses Compatibility' via the 'Seating Posture Vol.1' book to add this mod to your inventory.

compatibility:

This mod should be compatible with any mods as long as they don't add new furniture that's not in the base game.

ENB: I've recently noticed that ENB can cause 'Fade to Black' to stop working. The mod will still work, but you may not see the screen fade in and out to black. If you encounter this issue, please report it in the comments section along with the ENB profile you are using so I can determine if it is a general ENB issue or just caused by a specific ENB profile.
