About this mod Machine translation

Bind the ImGui framework to Skyrim! Custom GUI overlays are available to SKSE plugin developers and their users.

motivation

Enter the nerd dream of having custom widgets, widgets, and other GUI elements overlaid on the Skyrim renderer.

Like clicking on the visual novel box when I want to talk to an NPC - for example. Or seeing pulsating red areas on the outline of my body, similar to TV commercials for back pain. Or maybe it's the enemies that show up on the radar so I can decide where to throw the carrot-infused grenade.

basically

This framework is based on my other SSE GUI platform, but it exposes the ImGui interface on top of it. That is, you can create an SKSE plugin to create your own widgets and applications. The interface is based on Portable C/C++, so languages that can use these bindings (like C#) will work fine. Take a small demo plugin as an example - it shows the window on the attached screenshot - toggled using the Insert key.

As always, see the GitHub repo for better documentation on how to develop: README, example source code, C/C++ API headers, etc.

Thanks

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
