Sovngarde texture path fix (for Whiterun reshape)
Multiple Sovngarde meshes using Whiterun's texture wrslate02. So if you retexture using Whiterun, wrslate02 may look very different from the rest of the stone textures in Sovngarde, making the interior look very ugly. This provides a unique texture path for all these meshes.

It's hard to explain what this mod does. If your Whiterun texture doesn't look like your Sovngarde texture (for example, I'm using Sovngarde HD and Vivid Landscapes-Whiterun), multiple meshes in Sovngarde will look weird and mismatched. Some combinations will obviously be worse than others. Mine is not intolerable, but personally I can't let such little things go. The best solution is to just give the mesh its own unique texture path (textures\architecture\whiterun\sovslate02) and then select the appropriate texture set and rename it appropriately. What I personally did was take wrslate02 and wrslate02_n from Skyland Whiterun and modify them to match Sovngarde HD's textures. I would upload them, but I don't have permission.
There are many different textures of wrslate02 textures available. In theory you could use other textures entirely, but I couldn't find one that matched the exact pattern of the steps. SMIM's images are perfect for Sovngarde HD or vanilla textures, btw. They are slightly lower resolution for my taste. Anyway, once you find the objects you want, just rename them to sovslate02.dds and sovslate02_n.dds and place them in textures\architecture\whiterun. If I can I will upload my photos and you can use them, I adjusted the specular reflection to make it more suitable for the really shiny stones of sovngarde and made the astigmatism effect really perfect, so if you get permission this might be the best option. However, I am now uploading them to other modders or more advanced players if they want to choose their own textures to use with sovslate02.
The mesh also includes some minor UV and tangent space normal fixes. As far as I know they don't conflict with any SMIM or other high poly mesh replacements. Sovngarde is underrepresented in criminals in mods, so this isn't surprising. I've provided two dummy maps, the real ones should only appear by accident because someone was confused about where to place them. Plus the idea of using "virtual textures" is humorous to me.

It's kinda hard to explain what this mod does. If your Whiterun textures don't look a lot like your Sovngarde textures (I'm using Sovngarde HD and Vivid Landscapes - Whiterun, for example) several meshes in Sovngarde are gonna look weird and mismatched. There are a lot of wrslate02 textures from various retextures to pick from. In theory you could use another texture entirely, I just wasn't able to find any that matched the exact pattern of steps. The ones from SMIM are a really good match for Sovngarde HD or the vanilla textures, btw. They just were a bit low res for my taste. Anyway once you find the ones you want just rename them to sovslate02.dds and sovslate02_n.dds and put them in textures\architecture\whiterun. If I can, I'll upload mine and you can use those, I adjusted the specular to better fit with sovngarde's really shiny stone and made the diffuse fit pretty perfectly, so that will probably be the best option if I get permission. But I'm uploading these now for other modders or more advanced players to use if they want to pick their own textures to use for sovslate02.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
