Reimagining the Classroom Overhaul
A complete overhaul and reimagining of the curriculum. Develop your character through a "series" of courses, specializing further as you study. The options available depend on how you play and develop your character. If you want to be the most evil of the Dark Knights... as a whole, the appropriate powers will be yours. More like a bard's adventure, hone your allies, expose your enemies... that's it. Although my arrangement skills are a bit rusty, I calculated over 25,000 different variations based on your playing style and decisions.
detail
How this works [simplified version]:
Start the game.
At 10th level, gain the ability to choose an archetype (along with the appropriate generic abilities based on the skills you develop).
Play a little more.
At level 20, choose your class (and a slightly more specialized ability, based on your skill development).
Play a little more.
At level 30, there is no choice but to advance your class to the next level.
Play a little more.
At level 40, choose your specialization (and gain more specialized abilities as you develop skills).
Play a little more.
At level 50, become a master and gain another professional skill.
The choices you make along the way determine the choices you make...and in some cases, what abilities you gain.
What about the non-simplified version?
Okay - pretty much the above, but with a few more details.
At 10th level, gain the ability to choose a basic archetype (Warrior, Mage, Thief)... not much explanation needed here. However, you must use it as a prototype. No restrictions other than that... Qualify at level 30 in three skills (any skill) in the same category.
Once you choose your archetype, you gain another power that allows you to choose an ability for the archetype.
At 20th level, gain the ability to choose one of three classes based on archetype. There is some overlap here, so you can start with one prototype and "cross over" to another in some way. For example, a battle mage could start as a warrior who becomes a magical warrior, or a combat mage who becomes a physical combat mage.
After choosing a class, you gain another ability that allows you to choose a more specialized ability for that class. Additionally, your ability to select before scaling.
At level 30, you don't have any choices, but you advance to your class's proficiency level, which advances all chosen abilities to the point where you gain the power to choose another more specialized ability.
At level 40, gain the power to choose one of three specializations based on your coursework. again. . . There is some overlap here. Some endpoints can be achieved through different pathways. At this point, you'll gain a new, more specialized ability (some of which may have more options), and all previous abilities will expand again.
At level 50, you have mastered your profession and gained a new ability, your previous ability being the last.
Some additional notes:
All ability/power levels except mastery ability/power.
It doesn't matter which skills you choose to develop, only the number of skills in each category (see below).
Some options are only available in certain classes/majors.
Whether you are a good person or a bad person also affects some choices.
What do you mean, good or bad?
I did a little bit of old school D&D with this part. This is the current WIP.
Some classes will have different abilities based on their consistency. Currently, this only affects Paladin and Templar feats.
If you play a good character, you'll gain access to appropriate expert and master abilities. If you play an evil characte …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
