SSE engine fix
WIP skse64 plugin for Skyrim Special Edition, used to fix game engine issues. Includes port of meh321 bug fix for LE.
NOTE: This plugin contains similar fixes to those included in the SSE fixes as well as the Double Perk Apply fixes. You can use it instead of them.
Install
Install the Part 1 zip like any SKSE addon, either through the mod manager or directly to the data folder.
If you want to use the memory manager patch, the "_preload.txt" file must be in the directory, so make sure to add it if your Mod Manager warns you.
Install it by extracting the part 2 zip to the Skyrim SE folder (both dlls should be along with SkyrimSE.exe etc.)
You can turn on/off individual fixes in ini files in the plugin directory.
If you're experiencing performance issues, infinite loading screens, or frozen form cache fixes, try enabling MemoryManager. This is equivalent to "UseOSAllocators" and may help. You can also try BSReadWriteLock. Regardless of whether it makes any difference to your performance, it's probably worth trying both methods.
If your performance is worse than using SSE Fixes with this mod, you can install SSE Fixes next to it and it will automatically take priority. :)
repair
Tree LOD Alpha Update Cache/Global Form Lookup Cache - This solves a major performance bottleneck and should improve your framerate to varying degrees in different areas. It is equivalent to the fix in SSE fix.
Double Perk Apply - Fix perk effect being applied twice to NPCs in cells on load
Slow camera movement - Fixed camera movement being slow when stationary during slow time effect
Fixed Vertical Appearance Sensitivity - Fixed vertical camera movement sensitivity, tied to FPS when fixed
Water Timer - Water speed is tied to the game's time scale; fixes decoupling and allows you to customize water speed
Tree Thoughts - Tree LOD reflections in water are broken; this fix is also included in ENB, but I've included it here for those who don't use ENB
Snow Sparkle - Snow sparkle effect is handled incorrectly on meshes without proper snow sparkle settings, resulting in undefined behavior (vanilla SSE) and CTD (with memory patch)
Mod-added Sound Category Volume Saving - In the base game, if you add a sound category in the game volume settings menu, changes to the volume will not be saved; this patch adds a new ini that will track these volume changes and load them when the game starts. Audio overhaul module for adding sound categories.
Max Stdio - Sets the maximum open files to 2048 instead of the default 512; this should fix incorrect save corruption errors in 99.9% of cases

Save - Fixed bug with quick save + saving screenshots were blank when game TAA/DOF was disabled. Automatically disables itself when TAA/DOF is enabled. Thanks to Nukem for looking into the renderer aspect of this bug. Also included is an equivalent patch to disable the quick save LE plugin, which is disabled by default.
SKSE64 Orphaned Cosave Cleaner - Will remove orphaned cosaves on launch (even if their underlying saves still exist for cosaves). Will help a SkyUI bug that causes some glitches on the save/load menu screen based on the number of files in the save directory
For more details about the bug, you can see the README on Github.
temporary
These may be removed when the issue is fixed in skse/skee (probably in the next version).
skse64 custom menu mouse pointer - Fix mouse pointer not showing up in skse custom menu; see AddItemMenuSE/UIExtensions for examples
skse64 extra enchantments vtbl - Fix for adding enchantment extra data; see Loot & Degradation or XtendedLoot, enchantments with this fix should now be added correctly
skee (RaceMenu/NiO)/xpmsse 4.3+ crashes when saving load - fixed
Optional
Memory Manager - Equivalent to "Use OS Allocator" in LE Skyrim/SSE fix. Requires the SPARKLE patch to be active.
BSReadWriteLock - Replaces t …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
