What does this mod do?
This mod allows you to land with a forward rolling animation to reduce fall damage when falling from heights, similar to what is common in other ACT video games (e.g. Assassin's Creed, Withcer 3, etc.).
Landing scroll events are completely under your control, activated via custom hotkeys. You can choose whether to do a roll after landing.
Advantages compared to Fall Rolling Animation SE:
- Completely upside down, you can choose whether to roll or not when landing.
- The script will only start when performing a landing roll. No patrol scripts will be run during normal game hours.
- No scripted animation. The scroll animation you see is just the vanilla game's walk, run, and jump landing animations replaced with Dynamic Animation Replacer.
You can watch the demo video below:
How to set up the mod?
1.Install SKSE and SKYUI
- Install the dynamic animation replacer.
- Download and install this mod using Mod Manager.
- Go to the mod's MCM menu and map the "Landing Roll Hotkey".
How to roll after landing?
When you fall from a height and holster your weapon, once your character's arms are fully extended, as shown below:
(Note: If you have an animation module that changes the vanilla game jump animation file, this pose will change)
By holding down the forward key ("W") and then tapping your mapped landing roll hotkey in the MCM, the player character will perform a forward roll when landing and fall damage will be reduced by half.
Compatibility issues:
- Not compatible with PECA mods containing the following animation files:
</ s> </ s> </ s>
Spoilers: Show
You must delete all the above hkx files from the PECA folder, otherwise the scroll animation will not work.
The PECA mod includes FNIS PCEA, Project New Reign-Nemesis PCEA and assignments depending on the ActorBase PECA functionality of the dynamic animation replacer
- When used with other dynamic animation replacement modules that use Assignment based on custom conditions (for example, FMAK)
If this mod changes the hkx file above, the priority of this mod's hkx file must be changed so that my mod takes priority over it.
- Not sure if it is compatible with mods that overhaul the walking and jumping behavior of the vanilla game, such as Battle Game Overhaul, 360 Walk, and Run Plus. Confirmation required.
Q&A:
Q: I'm having some problems!
A: For God's sake, please check the following before reporting any issues to me:
- Have you installed SKSE SKYUI and Dynamic Animation Replacer correctly?
2.Are you using Gamepad?
- Have you installed any PECA mods?
- Have you installed any dynamic animation replacer dependent modules?
- Have you mapped the hotkeys in MCM?
- Did you holster your weapon before jumping?
- Do you see the message "Landing Gear Ready" on the upper left screen?
- If you see this message, did you keep the forward button ("w") pressed during the fall?
- Have you installed any walk and jump behavior overhaul mods such as "Battle Game Overhaul", "360 Walk and Run Plus"?

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
