Ever wanted to find the Whispering Wall and wondered what you would get? Feel like you're driving Skyrim into overdrive? Ever wished Solstheim wouldn't be so isolated from the mainland? My mod gives the game a fresh look by moving carefully around rewards, bringing back some small changes without knowing what will happen in the future.

IMPORTANT NOTE: New game required.

On existing roles, some aspects may still work as expected, but most aspects will not, leading to a lot of inconsistencies.

Uninstalling mid-player is also likely to cause problems, so save your save before backing it up.

My mod has 5 main functions:

Shuffle unimportant Dragon Word Wall locations.

Cleanses enchantments on dragon priest masks (except Miraak, Konahrik and wooden).

Shuffle unimportant black book locations.

Shuffle standing stone locations.

There are approximately a dozen Kagrumez Resonance Gems hidden within the Dwemer Ruins in Skyrim.

These changes make many DLC shoutouts available without having to travel to Solstheim/Starting Dawnguard, and preserve as much immersion and lore as possible while retaining rich gameplay.

The added Kagrumez Resonance Gem allows you to complete the Kagrumez trial organically without having to essentially clear the entirety of Solstheim.

A small change that integrates these changes is the removal of one Resonance Gems from Reaver within Kagrumez. Even with this change, there are enough gems on Solstheim alone to complete the trial, but if all the ruins are added to Skyrim Ruins, it will be much easier to complete.

If you want to revert this change, delete the scripts folder from the .rar file before installing v1.0.1 unless using Mod Organizer 2.

Everything in this mod is done manually to ensure that there is still an intention for everything and that everything is consistent. However, this means that in every file where the mod is installed, the location of things will be the same. My scripting skills aren't very good, so I can't do it truly random anyway.

I've been modding it for myself for a while, but this is the first mod I've released publicly. I probably spent more time testing it than making it, so there shouldn't be any errors (as long as you use a new charcter file)

Despite standing right in front of a wall, sometimes a wall doesn't teach you to yell, which can be worthless.

This bug exists in vanilla and has a simple in-game fix:

Open the console, type "tcl" to turn off collision, and then step through the words to get to the wall itself. Once you hit a sweet spot, you'll learn the word normally.

This mod is best used blindly, otherwise it won't make much sense, but if there's still demand I'll create a rich tag list for all new locations.

IMPORTANT: Requires a NEW GAME.

On an existing character, some aspects may still work as intended but most will not, causing a lot of inconsistencies.

Uninstalling mid playthrough will very likely cause problems as well, so back up your saves before doing so.

My mod has 5 main features:

Shuffles Non-quest-important Dragon Word Wall locations.

Shuffles Enchantments on Dragon Priest Masks (except Miraak, Konahrik, and wooden).

Shuffles Non-quest-important Black Book locations.

Shuffles Standing Stone locations.

Adds about a dozen Kagrumez Resonance Gems hidden across Skyrim's Dwemer Ruins.

These changes make many of the DLC shouts available without travelling to Solstheim / Starting Dawnguard, as well as preserving immersion and lore as much as possible while boosting gameplay variety.

The added Kagrumez Resonance Gems allows you to organically finish the Kagrumez Trials without having to basically clear out the entirety of Solstheim.

One small change to integrate these changes is the removal of one of the Resonance Gems from the Reaver inside of Kagrumez. There are enough Gems on Solstheim alone to finish the trials, even with this change, but with all the added gems to the Skyrim ruins, it would become too easy to …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
