About this mod Machine translation

Reduce animal populations with customizable spawning opportunities. No more predators at every turn.

Why should I?

  • If you are tired of endless battles with wolves, bears, etc. any time you go into the forest
  • Increase realism and immersion.
  • Use mods that increase the price of pelts to balance the game.
  • Make the game less predictable

How does this work?

In forests, mountains, snowfields - everywhere - Bethesda developers placed horizontal animal spawn points.

"Level" means that the animal will be randomly selected from some list (level list), also based on player level (e.g. level 1 wolf and level 10 bear). When you get close enough to this spawn point, it will spawn an animal. This always happens when this location is first loaded. Additionally, if an animal dies, it will respawn after a while.

This mod adds a great opportunity to destroy animals while the cell is loading via a simple script.

Current spawning chance (vanilla 100%):

Chance of predators spawning is 12% (including wolves, sabrecats, bears, spiders, trolls, etc.).

Chance of deer/goat spawning is 45%.

Fox/rabbit chance of spawning is 20%.

Also changed the ratio between foxes and rabbits from 3:2 to 1:5 (I'm talking about them because they are in the common level list).

Don't be afraid of a small chance, there are indeed many spawning spots in the world. You can also change the chance in TES5Edit (or more) or in the optional MCM (it's optional because I recommend not cluttering the game with a bunch of MCM, but manually changing the chance, eliminating the need) to change the chance of generating each new game to your taste.

This mod only changes the horizontal animals. This means the mod will only affect animals that spawn randomly. Directly located animals, such as the wolves near Riverwood, will not be affected. This also means that if you set the chance to 0%, you will still find animals.

compatibility:

I don't know of a mod that affects the same entry. It is compatible with Requiem, incompatible mods, SkyTEST, Wild World, Animallica, Animals Not Monsters, No Predators on the Road, and more.

But it only edits vanilla animal types, and for mods that add new animals to non-vanilla level lists, you will need a patch to make the mod affect them.

You can get information about how the mod works and how to patch\customize the mod in the article.

Install:

This mod requires USSEP.

For the optional MCM, you need the latest SKSE and SkyUI.

Install with your mod manager. Mod Organizer is cool.

How it works?

"leveled" means that this animal will be selected from a some list (leveled list) randomly, also based on player level (for example, a wolf at level 1 and a bear at level 10). When you get close enough to this spawn point, it will generate an animal. This will always happen when you first load this location. Also if the animal dies, it respawn after a while.

This mod adds a big chance to despawn animal on cell loading with simple script.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
