describe
This is a series of random patches for mods like Enhanced Scenery (sorely lacking patches for almost everything), Aurora Village, and Falkreath Megacity.
Since I'm new to 'creating mods' (which for me currently means removing clipped content in xEdit) don't expect perfection or well-crafted pieces. All these patches do is copy the records that need to be removed in order to resolve clipping between mods, floats, and similar stuff into new esl-tagged esps, and set those records to "initial disabled".
I still think someone might be looking for something I created and lack more modding skills than I do. Greetings from that singleton (:
on the ESL logo
All plugins have received the ESL logo. this means
You need the latest version of Mod Organizer 2, Vortex or Mod Manager
ESP plugins with the ESL logo do not count towards your plugin limit
The ESL flag can be an attribute of ESM and ESP plugins. When this flag is set, plugins will be removed from the usual address space of 00...FE (256 plugins), the FE slot will be expanded to include all ESL-tagged plugins, and mods will be added to some new space between FE:000 and FE:FFE (4096 plugins).
Warning: Before you start tagging mods yourself, you should at least remotely know what you're doing. Keep backups of all changed files, be careful when choosing mods to zip and don't ask me for help. On the other hand, once you get close to the 255 plugin limit, you should really get down to the basics...
Easy to start: ESL flags can be set using one of the newer beta versions of SSEEdit. Start SSEEdit with the -PseudoESL parameter. Once the mod is loaded, use the search at the bottom and search for '[FE'. You will then have a list of all plugins that can be marked as ESL without touching their records. Just right-click on the empty "Record Flag (Sorted)" entry for a mod that isn't already marked "<ESL>" and double-click on ESL. After exiting SSEEdit, the file will be saved. Once you have exhausted the taggable plugins using this method, continue with the plugins below:
To set more flags: Just load the modlist as usual, right-click on a mod and select "Compact FormID for ESL". Three things can happen now:
Nothing can be done? Perfect, you can set the ESL flag like described above without thinking about it
Pop up a list of FormIDs that need to be changed (like REFR, INFO and NPC_)? Since tag plugins store less space in them, those entries that store information require a reorganization of what tag plugins can add compared to regular plugins. If other plugins reference this plugin, don't do this as the other plugins will look for content where it no longer exists. Also avoid compressing plugins containing INFO and NPC_records, as suggested by ElminsterAU (the guy behind the awesome SSEEdit)
SSEEdit tells you there are too many entries to compress? Bad luck, the plugin contains more content than the tagged plugin can handle
Sleep to gain experience: Don't mark sleep to gain experience! Having done this one mod stopped working for me, as well as at least one other person in the posts section for that mod.
Support xEdit: Just a side note: Since ElminsterAU was one of the first to use the ESL tagging plugin (which means TONS of plugins can be used without having to merge!) and xEdit is being developed waaaay more time than any of you will believe you should consider giving him some money each month via Patreon. Not talking to people who run scripts occasionally, but those of us who use xEdit all the time should at least give it some thought :)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
