Pirhelios, Blade of the Sun

Deep in the forgotten Vale lies a secret that has long been forgotten by the world...

Before time, a fierce battle took place above Nirn. Lorkhan, the missing god, clashed with Trinamac, the Paragon, and Auriel, the dragon god of time. While it was Trinamac's fists and Auriel's bow that dealt the final blow to Trickster, another artifact saw action that day. For Auriel loosened the arrow as far as he could; but when Lockhant was upon him, he raised his shield and brandished his sword. It is said that the two gods shook their blades so violently that they carved out the unfinished landscape of Nirn.

After Lorkhan is destroyed, Auriel throws the sword towards the new world that forms beneath him: even if Lorkhan betrays him, he is still his brother, and his blood glistens on the blade, which is too much for the Dragon God.

The sword landed in a frozen valley. There, its powerful energy attracted the ancient Falmer. It doesn't take long for the brightest among them to understand the origins of the blade. The ancient Falmer considered it a symbol, built the Blade, and built the cathedral of Auri-El in honor of their most beloved gods.

For many centuries, the blade was as important as the bow and shield. It is an unquenchable flame that is a source of pride and hope for Auri-El's worshipers.

But all that changes when Arch-Curate Vyrthur falls victim to the vampire's curse. In his blind terror and despair he had no reason. In one moment, he joins him in slaughtering the priests in the church before trying to seize Oriel's sword. Only at the last moment did Prelate Mellenor use her last breath to raise the barrier around Auriel's sword and bind it to Vyrthur's life force, thus keeping the blade away from the mad Arch-Curate.

Unable to extend the sword, as attempts were made to drain him of life, Vyrthur tore the floor around it and carried the pedestal with the blade deeper within the temple. It is said that the last scene of Prelate Mellenor lifted an aura unknown to Falmer and covered the entire valley. The betrayer no longer feels the fire that guards the Church.

As a result, knowledge of the Oriel Sword was lost to history. The only ones who understand it are Arch-Curate Vyrthur and his brother Knight-Palagin Gelebor. But I dare not say it...

statistics:

Type: One-handed sword

Base damage: 15,6 critical

Weight: 15

Reach: 1.0

Speed: 1.0

improve:

Pirhelios can improve the whetstone with 1 Silver Bar and 1 Quicksilver Bar. It benefits from the privilege of Ebony Smithing.

charm:

Pirhelios' basic enchantment deals 20 points of fire damage per attack. However, due to matter and origin, Pirhelios also deals extra damage to all things evil: undead, werewolves, daedra, you name it. Since this is an inherent property of the blade and not the enchantment, the extra damage remains even after charging.

renew:

-ver. 1.1: Hopefully fixed an issue with the sword appearing in the King's Palace instead of its intended location.

-ver. 1.2: Added support for dual-sheath Redux.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
