A follower framework that allows you to manage and track hundreds of NPCs.

About this mod Machine translation

A follower framework that allows you to manage and track hundreds of NPCs.

Managing all my minions is difficult because I always get a lot of them. It's hard to know: who are the followers, how many of them do I have, how can I easily swap one for another, where can I find them, why can't I have more? In order to handle all the followers, I knew I needed to use a follower framework, a mod that manages multiple followers at once. But what kind of mods are there? How many people do they allow? How do they manage my entourage? To what extent? With various quirks like management, equipment, cloning, resurrection, etc., I realized I really wanted something that could handle a lot of minions. So I started doing:

members and followers

A member is an NPC managed by the framework, and a follower is an active member who will travel with you and fight for you. There can be up to 512 hosting NPCs at one time, and up to 16 followers at one time. At any time, you can use the MCM menu to switch followers for different members. No more searching for a lost minion! Just click a few buttons and they'll appear in front of you. Party members and hangers-on are the lifeblood of the People's Congress, and you'll see these terms used often.

clone

Cloning an NPC reduces conflicts with other mods and vanilla Skyrim, as any changes made to the original NPC can cause bugs. Even in normal games, cloning can still cause conflicts, and this framework has solved many of the traditional problems with cloning. Clones can now change more and change the original NPC less. Additionally, cloning an NPC that exactly resembles a normal NPC, such as a town guard or a bandit, is now possible using this framework. Cloning gives you more stable copies of minions and NPCs, whether they are unique or common, friend or foe.

Packaging and equipment

It's frustrating when followers randomly add items to their inventory, or when they equip items that you only want them to carry. In the NPC, each member has a separate backpack as their basic inventory, and they never equip anything in it. They also have some equipment that is their own container and is not filled with random junk. Each member will dress according to your request. Their gear can be loaded up or left empty. You can also allow members to automatically change their costumes based on their role. Original and cloned NPCs within the framework have their own packs and equipment. Only the items in each outfit will be equipped, while the items in their bag remain intact.

Style and energy

Followers can be designed to be warriors, wizards, archers, or whatever they choose to fight. A follower's style affects their gameplay attributes and skills, as well as the weapons they are most likely to use. Vitality is their fragile state in combat. If they were mortal, they might die at the hands of your enemies. Protected status protects them from outright death, unless you're the one who lands the final blow. The base status will prevent you from killing them, but when they lose health, they will take damage. The impeccable position says it all. Style and Dynamics elegantly let you change how your minions approach combat and allow you to get the most interesting frames possible.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
