Hyperdeath666's modifications to the Simple Night Spawner should make wandering at night increasingly difficult by spawning more and more creatures to hunt the player down.
This is hyperdeath666's modification of the Simple Night Spawner, which should make wandering at night increasingly difficult by spawning more and more creatures to hunt the player down.
Requires PapyrusUtil SE and SKSE.
I've only tested this feature with SkyrimVR, but it should work with SE.
What to do? It uses the same mechanics as the original mod, but instead of spawning a single creature at night, it gradually increases the number of creatures after each spawn via the following formula:
Number of spawns = number of previous spawns (starting from 0) + weather type modifier
(1 means pleasant, 2 means cloudy, 3 means rainy or snowy)
In most cases, the mob should disappear and not be seen by the player (unless you go back and forth a lot). Once spawned, they are assigned a package replacement to rush towards the player. If the player is chased indoors, they should stop following (not guaranteed) and then go outside or
Returns its original spawn location.
If the total number of spawned creatures reaches 128, a cleanup is initiated and they are removed from the game. No further builds will be triggered until cleanup is complete.
Although the mod would benefit from an MCM configuration menu, I have never written one and probably won't start now. But you can at least change the max group generation
Count and generate opportunities by entering the following in the console:
Set NSMaxWaveSize to 20 (default 20, minimum 2, maximum 32)
Set NSSpawnChanceMod to 100 (default is 100, minimum is 0, maximum is 100)
Here is a list of the mobs generated:
Char Werewolf
vampire
Charles Gugler
LCharSkeletonMelee Mix
LCharDraugrMelee1HMale
vampire wolf
Charles Wolf
LCharFrostbiteSpiderNoGiant
The first three are generated with numbers half the group size. Spiders only lay eggs during rainy and snowy weather, so arachnophobes may want to avoid these conditions.
I plan to add more creatures after a while of playtesting.
Compatibility shouldn't be an issue, but results may vary depending on what other modules are installed. For example, using Vampire Play with a mod that aligns you with other vampire factions will make the creatures not fight you, but instead follow you (which is probably a desirable outcome).
Please backup your game before using this mod.
Although the mod seems to work as expected, my scripting knowledge is pretty basic and it has the potential to wreak havoc on your saves. As the number of creatures spawned in the same unit increases, the chance of common and unusual glitches (such as flying creatures or broken havok and pathfinding) increases. Bringing undead hordes into densely populated areas can also have undesirable consequences.
Uninstalling your spawn before cleaning it can leave a lot of junk in your save, causing bloat and slowdowns.
Tip: Set NSSpawnChanceMod to 1982 for testing, VR workouts, etc. Starting at night this will start spawning 16 creatures and you will know when they spawn.
Credit goes to hyperdeath666 for the great idea and allowing me to build on his mod.

This is a modification of Simple Night Spawner by hyperdeath666 that should make wandering at night increasingly difficult by spawning ever larger groups of creatures that will hunt the player.

So what does it do? It uses same mechanics as original mod but instead of spawning a single creature during night, it progressively increases number of creatures after every spawn by this formula:

Creatures should in most cases spawn away and out of sight of player (unless you go back and forth a lot). After …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
