Melee force knockback
Melee power attacks cause enemies to fly and add a 1 second slow-motion cinematic effect. Should be compatible with most things. Can be used with any weapon or with bare hands. The lighter the enemy is (via the Weight property), the farther he will be knocked back. You can also knock down corpses, which Nazeem will definitely spot.

Melee power attacks will:
Knock down enemies and send them flying
Trigger 1 second slow motion for cool reasons

compatibility
As far as I can tell, it should be compatible with everything - but if another mod has an extra perk that also triggers on melee attacks, then whichever mod is last in the load order will prevail.
It does use scripts, but the scripts are small and only trigger on knockback moments. They don't even generate new variables - I don't see how they could bloat your saving game or cause any sort of CTD. See the code in the source folder. I think they're pretty neat when it comes to getting in, doing things, and getting out, but if you think they could be neater, I always welcome feedback.
Install
Extract to the "Data" folder and select the check mark for "kickback.esp".
Or seriously, do yourself a favor and install Mod Organizer 2 already; this isn't 2012 anymore.
Once the game launches, you'll receive a brief notification saying "Power attacks now knock back enemies." -If you see this message, the module is turned on and should work.
Uninstall
Remove esp and script - or close in MO2. Your save game contains nothing but perks; you can use the Fallrim tools to clean it up - another must-have if you're modding.
why i don't like other girls
There are other knockback mods, but I've learned that they won't work if your attack happens to kill an NPC. I think the reason these mods failed at the time was that PushActorAway(Target, PushForce) only worked if they were alive, and the NPC being launched by the script was already dead. I think I solved this limitation satisfactorily. Additionally, I can prevent the bug from making the NPC invincible if a fatal move is triggered during the knockback.
Also, other mods work by enchanting a certain weapon (too limiting), or attaching combat spells to individual attacks recorded by the PC, which I think is too dangerous and not to be confused with Prisoner Ref 0007 kids. By using the perk, it should work on any weapon and any race, vanilla or modded.
FAQ.
When is ESL?
I don't know, bro I just know how to do it in SSEDIT, SSEDIT tells me I need to renumber the forms in Creation Kit. Don't know what to do.
Does this work in Oldrim? Does this work in VR?
have no idea! I have neither, please try it and let me know!
Is this compatible with X?
may be. It will only conflict if the other mod also fires some magic effects on melee attacks.
Can the slow motion effect be removed?
What? Have you never played Max Payne? add! That's fine, if enough people ask for it I'll add a new version without it. Honestly, I don't think it deserves the MCM menu.
This made the fight too easy - I just tried to kill them while they were down and then tried to get back up!
I know. Ideally I'd like to apply the havok pulse to the active character without having to knock them down first, but I don't think this can be done? Let me know, experienced modders!
I also want to repel the spell! Remote combat!
Yes crossbows and fireballs! I don't think I can add anything else myself.

SCSI True Hit Force inspired me to use perks instead of enchanted weapons. If it could only consistently kill NPCs during a knockdown, then maybe I'd never be able to do it.
Huge resource for CIPSCIS tutorials.
The amazing community keeps this 9 year old game as if it was released yesterday.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
