Yarl Elisif Fair decided to do some house building and add a new spectacular terrace to her palace to suit her goal of achieving peace and unity in Skyrim through cunning diplomacy, grand processions, and awe-inspiring public works. Enter the Blue Palace Terrace (download here).

Modding is a tricky thing. Different mods compete for the same space, and although we secretly want to "add them all", this is often not possible for a number of reasons. Sometimes it is possible to make them work together, but they are still mods made with different standards, sounds, and logic within the mod itself, but may not produce the best results when put together and viewed as a whole. I find architectural models to be particularly sensitive to this when pasted together.
That's what I think about these two great mods. Traditional museums have a structural logic appropriate to their history and functions. There are few windows, the solid walls make it a safe location for priceless and dangerous items, and painstaking work has been done between the interior and exterior volumes. Auryen, who owned the building, managed and expanded it when needed: a planetarium here, a fossil gallery there, without adding wasteful architectural details because his complex was obscured from view of the city streets.
But not anymore! As the Blue Palace expands, Lady Elisif and her court gaze upon the rear of the museum every day! The safety hazards of museum construction are now extremely prominent - something neither Orin nor the prostitute wants.
Therefore, Elf decided it was time to do some renovations, comply with the city's architectural standards and hide his museum behind a new facade that would complement Elisif's hall. Powered by the Dragonborn's unique ability to amass wealth, there's no problem at all!
Don’t worry about the many new windows that might let robbers break in in the dead of night! It is an illusion, a facade, an exhibition, designed to divert attention from the sensitive galleries and allow the courts to admire their new terraces, where most of the artefacts in such danger are not visible.
This mod adds some static architecture to external units. It should have little impact on performance, and little impact on gameplay. The outline of the original building was respected as much as possible and nothing was removed from the original museum - just an outer layer was built over and around it. Navmesh is untouched. LOTD's Night at the Museum missions are not affected by this mod. This is a lightweight (ESL flagged) plugin and does not count against the regular active file limit.
It is meant to be viewed, not stepped through. You can jump onto the rocks surrounding the building and reach the facade. Even there, you won't notice anything weirder than a rock or two poking through the building. Frankly, I don't care about hiding it - I mean keep it as simple as possible and not touch the original mods - and certainly not touch the large grid of mountains and cliffs that make up the rock. This is a simple covering that looks good from the palace. But I did try to add things in a logical and careful way, and offset all the overlaid static elements a bit to avoid flickering when rendering textures on the same plane.
Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace is not compatible with LOTD. You need to patch or use one of the patches available on this site. This mod does not patch them, I use patches from here.
Loading order doesn't matter. Use loot to sort your masters, otherwise you should load this mod at the top of the load order and let other mods win the conflict.
If consistent LOD is required, run DynDOLOD.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
