Makes it easier to store and display mods integrated with Dragonborn’s Legacy

This is meant to be used as a tool primarily to integrate house/monitor mods with Legacy of the Dragonborn. I play countless houses/hideouts/etc. mods and many of them add their own versions of the storage system and unique item display. I also use LotD in all my games just for the incredible storage system, if nothing else. Using this feature, you can access the LotD storage system from any location in Skyrim. This mod is intended to encourage other developers here to add LotD support to house mods to provide a more unified experience across the entire game. Over time I'll be making patches for all the house models I'm working with and uploading them as I complete them.

Modifier information

This utility adds the 5 paragons as static items because LotD doesn't do this yet and I don't want to rebuild them every time I create a new patch.

All references are saved in a unit named 0LoTD_Activators and named in the prefix_itemname format. Simply set your display to use these versions as enabled parents and your display will become active when the corresponding display in the LotD Museum is active.

Currently supported projects (with name prefix)

  • All 9 Holy Amulets (Amulets_)
  • All daedric artifacts (daedric_)
  • All Dragon Claws (Claws_)
  • All Dragon Priest Masks, including LotD-exclusive masks (Masks)
  • All BlackBooks (BlackBook#) - These are just numbers, as the textures are all the same, so there's no real reason to go into specific statics
  • Canned Vanilla Bugs (Bug_)
  • all 5 paragons (paragon_)
  • The Elder Scrolls (elderscroll_)

Linked store activator

This assumes you already know the basics of creating an activator in the creation kit.

All storage containers present in LotD for automatic sorting have script activators in this mod, prefixed with LSE_

Create an activator on the object that you want to be the storage activator and in the popup filter create an activator by "LSE_" and find the corresponding container you want it to open.

These activators already come with the necessary scripts and properties to open the required containers. All you have to do is make sure "Player Activation" is checked under the original tab. NOTE: This should be clear by now, but I'll leave it here just in case. Make sure the z-axis rotation is not 0. This will prevent the game from loading the activator. If you want it close to 0, it can be set to 0.01.

Check out the readme file for a complete list of available activators.

Users will still need mods or patches made with it to work properly, but if something in LotD changes, it will bring the benefits of your mod. I will update this utility any time LotD updates something that breaks it while keeping my references the same, so mods generated from this version should never change because of LotD changes.

other people's information

If you didn't create your own mod, you can only download it if you plan to use another mod that requires this mod. This will install, but you can install your mod normally. As for loading order, it's not that important as long as you load it after LotD and before any mods that require it.

Model displays in LotD are made in a way that makes it harder to check if they are displayed. To save time and keep future LotD changes from breaking it, the template display can only be activated after using the corresponding portal in the Forgotten Valley.

Plan Activator

  • Unique weapons/armor remaining from the base game
  • Various collectibles from the base game
  • Activator for failed bosses (allows autopopulation of boss trophy rooms)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
