About this mod Machine translation

Fixed various keywords not matching (or not being applied at all) to relevant locations in the game.

I don't know if anyone is even interested in using it, but as a Companion modder it really bothers me that keywords don't always match correctly with Locations in the game. To give just one example, my pirate comments "ship" but the only one in the game that is correctly labeled "ship" is Katariah. Of course, modders can adjust the conditions more specifically, such as naming a Cell, but if the modder actually adds the keyword, then the keyword can be used to comment on new places added by other mods, such as player homes, inns, dungeons, towns, etc. .

When I asked Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch about fixing this issue, they declined, stating that it wouldn't negatively impact gameplay and therefore wasn't technically a "bug." So I decided to take it upon myself. I fixed issues with keywords that I or my modder friends found. Only a few so far, but I'm sure there are many more...

Due to the nature of this mod, it may be a mod you play with, or a tool for other mods to incorporate into them. Obviously this is an evolving project and I'll add to it as I find issues.

Sometimes, in order to give a location a keyword, I have to give it a new location name, which sometimes means renaming a cell. I only do this when necessary to keep it as non-invasive as possible.

LocTypeShip:

Red Wave added to Solitude as its own new location

Add to Dainty Sload

Added to the "WindhelmDocsExterior" cell as a new location since it contains 4 small ships, including the North Wind. I also set the music to "ExploreCoast".

Thanks to Bethesda, Dawnstar's Sea Squall is actually in two different cells, though it's small enough to fit in a separate cell. I don't see a good way to apply keywords.

LocTypeHouse:

Applied to Blackreach's Sinderion Field Laboratory, new location. Since it is a "safe" location, it should no longer be labeled Dungeon or Falmer Hive.

Making USEEP changes, WindhelmDocsExterior's RiverWaterFlow

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
