Karswarsten City Patch Set
Continuing my series "I want to use a unique architecture everywhere, but it requires a lot of compatibility patches" series....Karthwasten! War Soldier has overhauled Kashwasten in his The Great City of Kashwasten, and I've put together a series of compatibility patches to address
I need the loading order. This one is fairly minor - there's not a lot to tinker with, and I'm avoiding reinventing the wheel for any tinkering that exists elsewhere. Unless otherwise noted, all patches are marked ESP as ESL. Please note that I've been sitting on these patches for a while as War of War plans to revisit the town at some point, so they may no longer be accurate if Karthwasten Big Town goes beyond version 1.1.
Accompanying patch notes
3DNPC/Interesting NPCs - Forward Persistent tags on NPC refs to match new locations. Last checked against version 4.4
AI Overhaul SSE - Changed markup to match new internal/external, maintaining persistence as appropriate. Last checked against version 1.5.3
Cheesemod for everyone - transfer some added cheese to fit the new interior. Last checked against version 1.0
Enhanced lighting and FX - only one patch this time as there is a new building and wanting to keep the lighting mood consistent across all scenes
them. Where appropriate, forward any conflicts that have Karlswörsten City Victory, moving door lights etc. Last checked against version 3.06. Note that these buildings will be much brighter than typical ELFX buildings.
Immersive Elbows - Shifted several internal/external elbow markers to match the new layout. Last checked against version 1.60.SE
Landscape and Water Restoration - Conflict Resolution forwards ownership changes to the henhouse. Last checked against version 5.3
Skyrim II Lanterns - Changed lanterns and lights to match the new look. Additionally, the Tamriel Master Lights patch forwards changes in light intensity to new locations and removes the nails hanging on them. Last checked against version 2.0
Stylish Furniture and Messy Overhaul - Transfer two placed paintings to fit the new interior. Last checked against version 1.7
Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition patch - forwarding unit changes, NPC changes. Move the markers to match the new interior. Remove some pruned plants in their new locations. Last checked against version 4.2.3.
Emerald Patch - No Emerald Master required. Verdant adds grass to several texture types, which makes some paths look too weedy. This patch redraws these extrusions to type without grass (for Verdant). It also works with other grass mods that do the same thing, so no master is set.
Install
Use the Mod Manager/Organizer to install, or drag and drop loose files into your Skyrim data folder. Patches should set the appropriate master and should be loaded after any mods being patched. The fix in question is for persistent objects, which may need to be resaved.
compatibility
I don't think this will cause any incompatibilities that may exist between the base mods. All moved objects should have been moved to non-overlapping positions. let me know what you hit

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
