About this mod Machine translation

Provides optional container categories for players to use to organize and manage their inventory.

5000/5000 character limit: 5000 Continue translation (can also translate 5000 characters) Rebuild the inventory management system

Completely rebuilt from the ground up from a previously released inventory management system module. The two are incompatible and cannot be run in parallel. Upgrading mid-game is not recommended or supported.

Purpose:

To provide convenience and flexibility in using and manipulating items stored in the player's inventory.

Provides various containers that can be accessed by equipping them. These containers are not equipped with visual appearance models. These are intended to represent other categories in the inventory.

Require:

SKSE

Sky UI

Optional requirements:

FISS - Only required if you wish to save settings for recall in other character runs.

What to expect from this mod:

Items are given to the player and when used/equipped a container is opened (one container per item). Anything can be placed inside if needed. The intent of each container is also clear through its name (and sometimes even category). Alchemy, alchemical ingredients, cooking uncooked/raw food, enchanting items that need to be broken down, smelting for anything needed for the smelter, blacksmithing for anything needed for the forging and tempering station, tanning supplies for anything needed for the tanning rack, buildings for anything needed for building things in the Hearthfires house, and keyrings for keys etc. Items added to each container will be registered by adding them to multiple form lists.

A set of lists organized by keywords for items to use when targeting merchants and favoring job NPCs.

The other list is just a register of the contents added to the container.

When using a modified activation key (MAK), the crosshair target determines which items will be transferred. If it is an alchemy station, then the alchemy ingredients. If it is a cooker, cook the ingredients. After exiting a crafting station, the registered items list will be used to transfer any remaining items back to their associated containers.

For keyrings, MAK behaves slightly differently. When using MAK on a locked object that has a key, the key will be retrieved from the keyring (if available). If you do not have the key, you will be notified that the key cannot be found.

In earlier games, you might do a lot of pausing to move items to where you wanted to store them. As the game progresses and the various form lists are populated, the autosave feature (if activated) will reduce the increasing need to pause and deal with inventory.

Compatibility patches:

The TES5Edit script can be used to create various patches. This script will check all modules you have loaded into xEdit and populate various form lists. If this hotfix is present, these lists will be used in the following situations. Vendor item list for transferring items from container to player when using MAK on a merchant or favorite job NPC. The presence of these lists will avoid the need to build items as they are added to the container, saving some valuable processing time. Workstation recipe ingredient lists that will be used to limit the items you can actually add to the containers associated with those workstations. MAK's workstation list to identify target workstations. The workstation list is the only list that is partially populated with inventory workstations, all other lists are initially empty.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
