Immersive Immersive ENB Presets

Adjusted for ENB's Obsidian Weather + Enhanced Lighting

I can't find an ENB preset that I really like without bringing my 2016 mid-range

The AMD RX480 was on the screaming pile, so I made one that wasn't too hard

Hardware and fit my particular preferences. For personal use only, but shared

Because I think it's great. Vivid, foggy, vibrant and realistic.

feature…

Relatively lightweight and requires no special shaders, SSAA, lens effects or color grading.

Designed for playback (and playback), not screenshots. There's no exaggerated bokeh, bloom or contrast.

Saturated, natural colors. Verisimilitude fantasy bias.

Uses the default feature set of ENB v0.352, along with tapioks' ENB DNI post-process color correction.

Nothing distracting or out of place (hopefully).

Use vanilla SSE's subtle DOF effect without any exaggerated ENB DOF (although you can turn it on if you want).

Minimal eye adaptation simulation to avoid strobing and snow blindness.

Dark but not black dungeons and interiors. Brighter than ELE, darker than vanilla.

Fun night. Slightly brighter than the normal appearance of obsidian natural, but not as bright as vanilla.

Beautiful sunsets and dawns. Tweak realism with a flavor of fantasy.

Install...

Clear any previous ENB installation. You can use ENB and ReshadeManager. This is beautiful.

Download the latest Skyrim SE ENB pack.

Extract only the two .dll files in the WrapperVersion folder and place them in the Skyrim root folder (the same folder as SkyrimSE and SkyrimSELauncher). Not the Data folder.

Download this preset (manually).

Extract the files (and enbseries folder) to the Skyrim root folder. Not the Data folder.

Start SkyrimSE or SKSE normally.

Note to new ENB users: it takes a while to build shaders on Skyrim startup. A black screen of five seconds or more is normal.

The ENB function is turned on by default...

Skylight global lighting (turn off for better performance)

SSAO (Ambient Occlusion). This is why we use ENB in the first place.

The usual ENB enhancements including improved sky shading, cloud rendering, volumetric fog, divine light, fire, window lighting and more...

INI settings...

Do yourself a favor and get BethINI.

Do yourself another favor and turn off the "advanced" snow scene. First, it makes blending snow from Majestic Mountains and 3D Trees very difficult.

Turn off Anamorphic Lens Flare. It gives bright objects a bunch of ugly horizontal streaks.

Q&A…

  • Will you make different versions for other weather and lighting modes?

No. If you wish, you can bring up the ENB console and adjust your content yourself.

  • Can I use ENB without its enhanced lighting effects?

Yes, but the interior will be very bright. See question 1.

  • I can use it with other lighting modes like RLO, Luminosity, ELFx, RLS, etc.

There are two different lighting modes:-

ELE, ELFX's brightness and components modify lighting templates and color rendering. Only ELE will work as expected.

Other lighting fixtures like Realistic Lighting Overhaul remove fake lights and add new ones. That's fine.

  • How is the performance?

Almost identical to ENB out of the box. I lost about 10 FPS.

I use 2k to 4k textures, DynDOLOD and some other very heavy graphics mods and I get a playable 30-40 FPS (1080p without TAA).

  • I have a fire damaged Geforce 4 MX with gravy covering the 64k core memory. Can I use this?

No.

  • I have 3 water cooled Turing RTX 2080sin SLI with enough video memory to choke adult sludge, can I use it?

yes. Stick with hardware anti-aliasing.

7.What visual mode do you use to take screenshots?

a lot of. It will take several months to get everything running. *uncontrollable sobbing* I will be making a link list in a while.

Obsidian Weather and ELE obviously, but also about 200 texture models and the usual suspects like Realistic Water II, SMIM, …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
