Ever wanted to steal a soul and have it at your service? This mod involves traveling Skyrim, killing creatures and capturing their souls. You will then be able to summon the creature's spirit to assist you in battle.
This is ArcadeParty's GreyLight Soul-Summoning Mod (a fixed version of the Skyrim SE port) that was previously found on the Workshop. All I did was convert it into 44 .esp files using CreationKit and tested it in game to make sure everything was working properly. I only do this with permission from the original mod author, ArcadeParty.
Mod's original description
With this mod, you can kill a creature, steal its soul, and then summon it in combat. This is accomplished via a new, unique handcrafted station. In which you use a soul gem with a creature's soul, an item or items associated with that creature (for example, a wolf skin for a wolf), and a ruined book, you'll be able to craft a spell tome that teaches you the spell to summon the creature's soul. Cool, right? This applies to almost every creature in Skyrim!

A great place to start is a location called Grey's Rest. Here you'll find your new crafting station, Soul Fire crafting jar, and some handy books and supplies. This new location has its own fast travel marker for easier access. In addition to all craftable spell totems, two special summonable creatures appear. Slaughter returns from early Spectral Summons, accompanied by Stride, a very fast spectral horse. Both companions are summoned by taking up a small amount of power from the voice slot. Their bookshelf can be found in the gray sitting area.
Important note: All summonable creatures are of the same level as you. This means you can use your favorite creature without having to worry about it not being as powerful as other creatures.
Version 2.0 fix
Correction:
Summons will now be affected by spell perks.
Summons will now be affected by other mods.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
