Green Compact Friendly Weapons and Equipment
While working on a patch for another mod of mine, I realized there was no option for the Bosmer character who wanted to be an archer after the Green Protocol, because all the arrows included wood in the crafting recipe. I found this odd since archery was all the acquaintance knew. I decided to solve this problem and give them some armor and weaponry. For now, they're just a forgotten weapon and armor with some Green Protocol-friendly crafting recipes (made from elk hide, antlers, leather, and in some cases human skulls) but eventually, I'd like to give them proper custom models and maybe add some extra crafting items like bones that you can collect from dead animals and humans.
There are two versions of the .esp file, one which makes it so that only bosmer can make these new items, and the other which makes it so that any race can make them instantly. Whatever you like, but only install one or the other, not both!
But why use Forsworn armor and weapons as placeholders?
There are two reasons for this, the first and main one is that vanilla Skyrim doesn't have a crafting method for them so it's the least likely to cause any conflict. Even if another mod makes them easier to craft, this mod should not interfere. Another is because you can hear a unique line of dialogue from a dead NPC if you sneak up on him while he's sharpening his axe, where he mentions that the ax blade was made of Nord Skulls (despite the fact that it looks like stone). This is also why you need a skull to craft it.
Install:
As of now, the mod is just an .esp file, so just drag and drop whatever version of the mod you want to use into your data file and activate it using your mod manager! Simple!
Future plans:
As I said before, I ultimately want to give these items unique models and textures. I'm still pretty good at modifications, so I'm still trying to figure out how to do this, but it will come eventually.
I may also add new crafting materials that can be looted from dead animals and people, which will be integrated into crafting recipes so they are more realistic.
compatibility:
There shouldn't be any compatibility issues at all. Crafting recipes are made from scratch, so they should not be overridden in any other mod. If you run into any trouble, please let me know.
This mod still references the base game model, so if you have any mesh/texture replacers that affect forsworn armor, it will also affect bosmer armor, but it shouldn't cause any issues.
While this isn't a compatibility issue, this armor's headgear is just a copy of the forsworn headgear, so if you're using the all-race version and specifically playing as a male Argon, be aware that there will be some (rather hilarious) clipping issues. But if you don't mind your argon having ivory eyes, it works fine. I decided not to solve this problem because as I said before I want to make custom meshes for everything and when I get to that stage I will solve the clipping issue. Female argon and male/female kahjiit also have this problem, but male argon is the most obvious. The female version of this piece will still cut, but it's not quite as bad.
Please enjoy the mod!
This mod is designed to work with my other mods, Racial Armor and Weapon Smith, but it is not required.

Green Pact Friendly Weaponry and Armors
While working on a patch for my other mod, I realised that there are no options for Bosmer characters following the green pact who want to be archers, since all the arrows include wood in the crafting recipes. I found this weird since archery is what the bosmer are known for. I decided to fix this, and give them some armor and weaponry options as well. for now, they're just forsworn weapons and armour with some green pact friendly crafting recipes (m …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
