About this mod Machine translation
Added first person spear and rapier animations to the battle ax and 1 hour sword. Replacement and alternate animated versions available.
I've been a fan of NickaNak's animated armory for a long time, but I always wished I could use the weapons in first person without being forced to revert to the vanilla swing attack. Since not many people seem to dabble in first person animation, I decided to tackle this myself. This mod is the result.

feature:
=========
This mod only adds first person animations for spears and rapiers. There are two versions of the mod:
The replacer version replaces the 2-hand ax/hammer animation with a sword animation and the 1-hand animation with a rapier animation on the right hand.
Alternate animation versions use custom behavior files so that they don't conflict with vanilla weapon animations.
=============
Require:
=============
Skyrim.esm
Optional:
Animated Armory
Heavy Armory
Immersive weapons
rapier and dagger
Predators: The Lost Tribe
Chidori
Echizen
Note: Alternate animation versions have built-in compatibility with these mods and will use first-person rapier/spear animations by default for specific weapons
Any other weapon model that adds a spear or rapier can also take advantage of this feature. See the "For Modders" section below to learn how to do this.

Install:
=============
Install using Vortex/NMM
Either
Extract the files into the data folder
If you have any of the above "optional" mods installed and are using alternate animation versions, an in-game notification will indicate if the mod detects them.

uninstall:

Uninstall using Vortex/NMM
Either
Delete files manually.

compatibility:
==============
The replacer version is not compatible with any other mod that changes 2hm and 1hm first person animations.
Alternate animation versions are incompatible with mods that change the following first-person behavior files:
act/0_master.hkx
behavior/1hm_behavior.hkx
behavior/bashbehavior.hkx
behavior/blockbehavior.hkx
behavior/sprintbehavior.hkx
act/weapequip.hkx,
characters/firstperson.hkx
However, there are two mods I've built with alternate animation versions of the behavior files that are compatible out of the box:
Improved combat behavior by moljka
JZB Throwing Weapon Lite... Hey! That's me! ! ! ! :P
During installation, simply let the behavior files from this mod overwrite the behavior files from the above mod.
Additionally, there is an optional patch that integrates alternate animated versions with Animated Armory's keyword system.

For Modders:

If you are using the alternate animation version and want to make a patch so that a one-handed sword can use a rapier animation in first person, or a battle ax can use a spear or halberd animation in first person, there are two ways to do this:
Method 1:
- Download and install NickaNak’s Animated Armory
- Download and install the alternate animated version of this mod
- Download and install this mod's animated armory keyword patch and overwrite any files
- Follow the instructions in the sticky article on how to make weapon patches on the Animated Armory page
Method 2:
- Download and install the alternate animated version of this mod
- Open Tes5Edit and load "JZBai_FirstPersonSpearsRapiersAA.esp" and any weapon model you want to patch
- Right-click "000_JZBai_HalberdList", "000_JZBai_PikeList" and/or "000_JZBai_RapierList" under "FormID List" in "JZBai_FirstPersonSpearsRapiersAA.esp" and "Copy as Override" them to the new esp file
- Add any weapon models you want to patch as masters into this new esp
- Add the required weapons to the corresponding formID list
Save and you're done!

Both versions sometimes have a weird visual bug where a grid of weapons appears in your field of view when you use mods like Visible Favorited Gear or Gear Overhaul, but it doesn't seem to be common.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
