Equipment NPC (Equipment Overhaul) SE
Meem0's highly underrated mod has finally been converted. Allows you to equip all NPCs with any equipment you want. Just great. I guarantee you'll love it! Without it, Skyrim is frankly unplayable. Updated SE's CK from tables 43 to 44. No compatibility issues AFAIK. Verify in SSE Edit and test thoroughly with the best possible LO.

Any NPC's gift armor or weapon can be equipped instantly. Features voice-based persuasive dialogue options to start outfitting
(optional).
Do you have a large collection of armor models and wish you could see them in the world more often?
Ever wanted to equip those guards so they'd have a better chance against vampire attacks?
Then Outfit NPC is for you!
Equip NPC allows you to instantly gift armor or weapons to any NPC
equipment. Use the persuasion check to initiate Outfit via dialogue
(Can be disabled); if you are friends with the NPC, you don't need to
Convince them.
No information about equipped NPCs is stored, which means lower script load and no "management slots"!
Function overview
- Switch Outfitter power to add or remove Outfitter effects
- When the Outfitter effect is active, the dialogue options for the outfit should be shown
- You have to convince NPCs to let you equip them ("Why don't you wear these items...? (persuasion)")
- Your chances of success in persuasion depend on your presentation, but also
There is a random component. This can be configured in MCM, including

- Failing a persuasion check will give you an anxiety effect (configurable) for 15 minutes, which will stop you
Try to equip any NPC to convince while it lasts.
- If you are friends with an NPC, you don't have to convince them ("I have some gear for you to wear.")
- By default, outfits use the gift menu, which means everything is
One-way; you cannot restore your gear. You can change this setting in MCM.

Known issues/FAQs
Are the costumes used to exit the game/leave the area still available?
Yes! (Tell me if they don’t!)
This doesn't suit my followers!
There are already a lot of follower mods that let you customize follower outfits, so Outfit NPC is not intended to be used for followers.
I use Amazing Follower Tweaks, which allow you to set up a standard outfit, as well as one to wear around town and around the house. (Note from SlyWolfe: I use Immersive AFT SE and find this mod so useful and efficient that I've barely even touched IAFT's gear management system. The mods are said to work well together).
Known issues starting with 1.0.3:
if you:
a) The NPC’s default equipment has not been completely covered
b) Equip an old default piece of equipment that you have previously passed
c) Equip the NPC with items beyond their default equipment (other than the one you re-equipped in b)
The NPC will then be equipped with all their default gear instead of anything you give them.
This is a very minor issue as none of your items are damaged
Need to give them some of their default gear (probably not
Until all originals are replaced, we don't think it will happen very often. I will consider it
How to solve it.
The only solution I know of so far is to clean out your gear and re-equip when you start decorating,
This resulted in a brief flash of all their gear being unequipped and I
Really don't like it.
The dialogue did not appear!
Try saving and reloading the game.

Yes, it turns out that NPCs do choose the best weapons, unlike armor. However, they will only update

Sorry, had to fix it. Try using full inventory access mode
MCM has full control when messing with this.

It's because kids can't wear the most "normal" gear - it's just over

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
