introduce:
Skyrim is a beautiful place, even more so when you use the amazing mods you can find on. But after completing my mod list, I was forced to be honest with myself, without a fully functional ENB, it would be impossible to run so many mods on a 4K screen without unpleasant performance degradation.
This is how Ljóss’ idea was born:
Minimalist ENB presets with forced effects I couldn't live without, and ReShade presets for post-processing to preserve as much performance as possible. This preset is not intended to play screen archery, but I thought I wanted a good mix between performance and aesthetics.
In building Ljóss I tried to achieve the following goals:
Perfect night vision compatibility out of the box (vanilla or modded)
Skyrim image space, game and mod color correction are preserved, thus respecting the author view and allowing you to use mods to tweak your experience
Lighting module compatibility (ELFX, ELE, luminosity...)
Multi-weather mod compatibility (with all its features: seasons, indoor/night settings, colors, etc.)
No dark nights or indoors
ENB Light is compatible with realistic fire colors (ENB Light takes lighting effects to another level of beauty.)

include:
Color Enhancement (Shadow: Vibrant and Glamorous)
Light Enhancements: (Shadows: Clarity, LiftGammaGain, AmbienLight and LevelsPlus/ENB: ComplexParticleLight)
Image sharpening (recoloring: LumaSharpen and FineSharp)
Bloom (Shadow: BloomAndLensFlares)
SMAA Anti-Aliasing (Shadow: SMAA)
Shadow enhancement (ENB: Detailed Shadows, Distant Shadows, SSAO_Game and CloudShadows)
Realistic skin (ENB: Skin Specular and SubSurfaceScatering)
ENB Sky, Sun and Water
For the sake of performance, I chose to enhance the version of Skyrim SE with ENB SSAO_GAME. If you prefer to use ENB SSAO, it has been adjusted to maintain performance as much as possible (all screenshots are with in-game SSAO). To change this or other settings such as color, saturation, black level... please read the following FAQ.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
