dynamic endurance
Mod author: skyrimaguas
Ever feel like endurance is almost useless? It doesn't have much use outside of power attacks and dashes, as its effect on the character is purely optional by default. I always had tons of stamina to power up with potions and food, which I never really felt the need to use.
This mod aims to change that and make stamina an important attribute in performing actions. Combat moves and actions will now use a certain amount of stamina, making it relevant to your character just like Magicka or health.
Stamina becomes your character's "energy" points or "action points" (like in Fallout), and their amount will have an impact on your gameplay - you may become "tired" as you lose stamina by taking actions in combat, taking hits, or just generally moving around. You need to take a short break to regain your stamina (either drink that stamina potion or eat food).
With dynamic stamina, it will be important to invest your character's stamina points as it will allow you to perform more actions.
No script!
This mod is unscripted, and that's the biggest difference. There are other mods that also change stamina mechanics (usually survival mods and/or combat overhauls), but I can't use them due to the heavy use of scripting, as adding too much scripting on every action, object, and game event would have an impact on the game engine - not to mention, would help avoid game bloat.

Clothing (or no armor) has no extra stamina.
under attack
Being hit by a melee or bow weapon during combat will cause you a small amount of stamina damage:
-Stamina takes 0 points of damage while wearing heavy armor
-2 points of stamina damage if wearing light armor
-5 points of stamina damage if not wearing armor (clothing)
stuck in trouble
Stagger will cause you a lot of stamina damage:
-If wearing heavy armor, it requires 10 points of stamina damage

-50 points of stamina damage if not wearing armor (clothing)
Stamina Regeneration - Take a break!
Stamina only regenerates when you stop moving - the amount regenerated will depend on your character's Stamina Regeneration Rate attribute. Just like in the vanilla system, this may be affected by modifiers - potions, foods, spells, effects, and enchantments.
Wearing well-equipped weapons and/or spells will provide an additional stamina regeneration boost:
-Additional 3 points per second if wearing heavy armor
- If wearing light armor, gain an additional 5 points per second
- If not wearing armor (clothing), 8 additional points per second
While sitting in a chair or on a horse, you can rest and regenerate faster with an additional 15 stamina points per second.
One exception is swimming (unmounted) - stamina continues to drain even if you stop moving and holster your weapon (because you have to keep mov …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
