About this mod Machine translation
Modders resources, climbable ladders. No animation.
By downloading this file, it is assumed that you are already able to use/apply/modify/copy the resources according to your needs and preferences. Don't request changes etc. This is a very simple template/tutorial and you should be able to make changes yourself. There are many other ways and variations to achieve this effect, this is just a very basic example.
how
Create a new activator with the following properties: name: ladder (or other object), activate text override: click, model: dungeons\riften\tgroom\riftenrwtgroomroundladder01.nif (or preferred), and click OK.
Go back to your activator and attach the _pf_ladder script (or your own version). Do not fill in tag attributes here. If using the original script, use (any)>player to fill in the player properties here.
Go to the cell, click and drag the Activator from the Object Window into the Viewer Window and drop it into place, resizing/reorienting as needed.
Once everything is aligned, go to the objects window and find the xmarker under "World Objects > Static". Place one X mark at the top of the ladder and another at the bottom.
Click the Previous activator in the viewer window and go to the Script tab. Go to properties and populate both marker properties with their respective xmarkers.
All done! Get it into the game and make any changes as needed.
important note
- No animation. It will fade away (if used by the player).
- Since there is no animation, NPC cannot activate on its own. However, using "I need you to do something for me" dialogue will allow them to "climb".
- Should be obvious, but make sure that when activated, players cannot be near the wrong marker. In almost all cases, this shouldn't be a concern, but is worth noting.
- You don't need to use an X marker, you just need something to move the player to a reference position. Make sure your target/marker is where you want the player to stand.
- There are some other activator properties that can be changed to your liking, such as sound. I used the ladder sound, but there may be better ones.
Due to animation/NPC issues, placing ladders in densely populated areas, such as hotels, is a very terrible idea. NPCs in a certain area can be forced to activate ladders if desired (e.g. via script). Or try doing some wizardry with furniture markers.
There is a repeating cell in ck that contains a sample ladder diagram to look at. You can use the console command "coc-pf-houseexample" to perform coc operations on your phone in the game. I recommend Cocoding from the main menu rather than from a saved game. Disable esp when not testing, it won't work for general gaming.
If you use your mod's resources, I'd like to put it on the mod page. Send me a link or post it in the comments.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
