About this mod Machine translation

Add heavy, light and clothed versions, as well as variations of each of Ahzidal's artifacts as well as rings, amulets and small headdresses, to combine any four items to create enchanting projects.

Ahzidal's Armory is a small mod that adds variations to the six Ahzidal's relics.

First, since some of these items are very suitable for (pure) mages, they can now be turned into light or clothing versions. Second, I went a step further and created variations of each version. So you can now have Water Walking Gloves, Necromancer's Boots, Sight Armor, and more. The main reason is this: now that you've defeated Azdal, you should be able to do just that using his charming genius.

In addition, you can turn them into rings, small circles or amulets.

Each recipe will appear in your crafting menu once the "Unearthed" mission is completed, and only if you have the corresponding relic in your inventory (this prevents all recipes from appearing as shown in the image and clutters the list). Each item requires a relic (obviously), either a gold ingot or ancient Norse armor (if you want to transfer the enchantment to another piece), or a corundum ingot or linen wrapper (if you want to turn it into a lightweight or clothing version).

Yes, each of these items counts toward Ahzidal's Genius Armor bonus. Remember, the game activates the bonus if and only if 4 artifacts are worn.

But that's not all. In most of my previous games, I only used Azdar's armor when enchanting due to the +10 enchantment bonus. So I created Genius Items.

You can turn any four relics into a Genius item (just the Ring, Necklace, or Circlet this time), and they provide the same bonuses as the full set. Since you obviously can't wear both the full costume and the genius costume at the same time, it's not overpowered and saves you a ton of micromanagement costs.

Example: You decide to create a vision ring and convert the Guard Gauntlet into a lightweight version. You will need a gold ingot and a corundum ingot. You then realize that none of the four remaining items suit your character, so use a gold ingot to turn them into a talisman of genius that adds charisma once you wear it.

Best of all, any of these items can be recreated. Regular items require a corresponding piece of Ancient Norse armor or jewelry, while genius items require four of these, each for you to sacrifice.

In version 1.2 I changed all gold related recipes and only used gold ingots instead of necklaces, rings or small circles. I also added the left hand loop (using slot 60). You have to craft the ring first, then a new recipe appears to change it to the left version. Depending on your mod list, you may have to use a mod that changes the race, since slot 60 is not set up to show things in first person by default.

Thanks to duggelz for providing the mesh for the Dawnguard left hand ring.

question:

Where can I get Ancient Northern Armor?

UESP tells me that you can craft them if you complete the companions' questline, or if you can find them in Forelhost. However, I also allowed myself to put a lot of these items into the Kolbjorn cart's boss box. You'll find complete outfits here, as well as linen wraps, rings, necklaces and hoops. If you have completed this quest and do not want to return to Solstheim, you can open the console (~) and enter setstage _AA_Kolbjorn_quest 20. This will remotely open the chest so you can grab the items.

warn:

Keep in mind that in order to be suitable for everyone, I had to create some handmade recipes, so I may have made a mess once or twice. Be sure to save it before making it and let me know if you find any errors.

Perkus Maximus users should also note that if they want to use Light Armor, they must find the Armor.xml file in Patchus maximus (located in

\SkyProc Patchers\T3nd0_PatchusMaximus\PMxml). That's because no one has ever made Azidal's light armor before, and once patched, it's going to be heavy anyway.

You will have to substitute …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
