feature
Valdacil named
Optional (Buff) or (Resist) tags for potions/foods that strengthen the <skill> or grant resistance to the <type>, instead of the plain (Potion)/(Food) - see the last image to update your quick favorites menu to suit.
Rebuild tags - will remove all existing tags to re-tag all items -> Used to change/fix tags from existing VIS patches.
Ignore VIS Patchers - by default the script checks if the winning alternative item is a tagged item - if it is tagged it pulls it into the ESP (modifies the ESP) or realizes it does not need to be added to the PatcherName.esp. Ignoring VIS Patchers will disable both steps, ensuring that ESP's tags are completely fresh.
Remove end tags - e.g. shooting arrow ornaments (+20%) <- don't know about you, but with the enchantment overhaul this effect is minimal
Optional patches
Joy of Perspective - Removed all first person model attributes on ARMA - Also needs to be run on mods that change RACE entries. The JOP mesh is still required, but you can disable JOP.esp
Remove tags that are not fascinating
No weight for crafting, miscellaneous, tools, books (and scrolls), consumables (potions, food and ingredients) or quest items
Useful additional options for scrapping or campfires
final choice
Modify ESP - save changes to original ESP
If amend is disabled->Patch to Patcher Name file which will prompt you to create a new file or modify the patch
Spells, weapons, and armor never fail - but miscellaneous items often find themselves used differently between mods. So if you have problems with some mods, please let me know and I will download the mod and take a look.
Magic Effects is a bit beta atm; the naming convention is hard to pin down and I barely noticed what they were called, so I'll leave it aside for now.
I've also made some personal changes to the VIS naming convention - sorry, sorry.
Any skill book is now |skill|book title{skill name}
Now any spell book is |spell|[##]spell name
Diary is|diary|not|scheduled|journal:
The [Unique] tag extends to Black Book, Oghma, Master Key, and some other miscellaneous rewards.
|claw| has a space before it so they are always at the top of the Misc alphabetically
[Ring] is [Ring-R] to match [Ring-L]
Rings, necklaces, diaries, keys, etc. in the project name have been removed
All content with the "adoption" keyword is now [child]
If you select "Modify ESP" it will be applied to the original mod. For MO2 - this will extract all affected ESPs to the Overwrite folder, which may take some time to move back, but the VIS patch will be permanent.
Do not modify the ESP on the base game file as it cannot be undone without re-verifying the file.
Use patch script
Personally, I just enable Cleanroom Floor, USSEP and Valdacil and then run a script on the entire queue using (patch name: VIS-Core) to create a new VIS with the required changes, such as JoP, Disenchant, etc. It takes about 2 minutes. Valdacil/VIS-Core will stay after cleaning the room floor according to the loading order.
Then, enable the entire queue, select them all in xEdit (except the base game esms), and run with "Modify ESP" enabled. While this does move all modified ESPs into my Overwrite, I won't have to rebuild patches for those files again.
Now if I install a new mod I just need to "Modify ESP" on the new mod. Also, if the file has no new changes, it will not be modified - this means I can run "Amend ESP" on the entire queue and only extract what needs to be patched.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
