An overhaul for your consideration
The purpose of this mode is to make Skyrim feel grittier and more "realistic". I changed a few things. Most of the stuff already had mods to make my changes to, it was just a matter of putting them into one big mod. I've included all the mods in separate shells, you already have a mod you like, this changes what my mod does.

OK, so I started working on this mod to try and make Skyrim feel more like a challenging action/adventure game. After I spent about a hundred hours playing vanilla, I was feeling a little frustrated. But I know that not everyone will agree on what kind of game Skyrim should play, so I've added all aspects of my mod as individual files, along with any mods I've adapted to my mods. So, whether you're just getting into Sky for some reason, or are just looking for a different feel to the game, I hope this mod finds you well.
*This is the first iteration of my mod, I've been testing it for a few hours with other mods (I'll link), but I definitely still have work to do. Especially the food part of the mod. So please give me some feedback, it will be much appreciated.
So what exactly does this little overhaul do?
-Increases overall damage dealt. You'll do slightly less damage on hard ones and much less damage on legendary ones. The only way to change the difficulty of the game is to control the damage you take. (If it’s hard, the damage multipliers of the player and the AI are the same)
-At the same time, I had to make some additional changes to combat: reduce some sneak attack damage, increase the amount of damage blocked by default, gain more XP because the game is more challenging, and increase the maximum damage resistance from 80% to 88%.
-Makes warlocks and necromancers give approaching warning before attacking, since magic is harder to deal with.
- Greatly reduced health regeneration so you have to eat or rest after dirty battles, cut magic regeneration in half to make it more strategic and balanced, slightly reduced stamina regeneration.
-Get rid of the beginning spell
-Adjusted payload reduction (depending on race)
-Quest items regardless of level
- Changed invisibility (see "Real AI Detection")
- Changed archery (see 'archeryV 2')
- Removed alchemy and magic that increased crafting skills. I originally planned to just remove the magic effect, but alchemy comes into play in the next part. (See "Basics")
-Changed spider and repellent poison damage and made it a cure for poison. Because in vanilla healing, poisons have no real effect because those "abilities" are considered spells, not poisons. Also, I made it so you can make an antidote. All the ingredients that once strengthened, spelled or scarred, now cure poison when combined!
- Made some minor changes to perks. Mainly your armor perk, which now costs 4 extra points instead of the first 5 extra points.
-Some other minor changes.
So, basically that's it, remember, you can download all of these individually, pick and choose which suits you!
I would like to make some modifications to this pattern in the future:
-Alchemy XP is used to select alchemical ingredients/\ Different amounts of ingredients may be obtained depending on skill LVL.
-Recipes give you XP and teach you the properties of ingredients.
- Added gear of different qualities to loot
-Probably separate, but I want the materials to have different effects, like spell resistance and weapon penetration.
-Changed enemies to make them more challenging and interesting.
-Changed racial abilities for playable races (Khajit Nighteyes have no time limit)
Known bedbugs:
- Antidote potions are expensive to make.
-Not a real error. But you need to make compatibility patches based on the mods you get from the "a la carte" files.
Loading order/compatibility:
Loads near the bottom, as long as you go to "Pull a la carte" then it should be compatible with pretty much anything except damage mods then.
You will most likely need to use one of the many tools to create a compatibility p …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
