Alchemy is probably the most complex skill system in Skyrim, and has the potential to be a beautifully detailed crafting system. Unfortunately, it's also plagued by inconsistency, imbalance, and poor design choices that often reduce skill to an easy way to stack gold quickly. This mode aims to change that, to balance and enhance the inherent complexity of the system and bring more versatility and fun to the alchemist's craft.

special thanks
This mod was a huge undertaking and I was lucky enough to have some incredible help creating it.
My special thanks to Tascani, Teabag86 and Excinerus for all their work and help. Without their help, hard work and inspiration this mod would not be possible. I would also like to give special thanks to Impulseman45, SparrowPrince, gooball60, theregisteredone, wiseman303 and Kelmych for providing additional custom resources for this project.
Tascani built the bombs used in CACO. The smooth and efficient operation of this system is everything he does. He also works on balancing, brainstorming, and many other technical aspects of the mod.
Teabag86 helps brainstorm and test ideas, modify the grid, create spreadsheets …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
