RandomVision
✨ Module Introduction
`RandomVision` is an event preview module designed for "Slay the Spire 2".
**If you don’t like to frequently save and load files (SL) to confirm the results of events, then this module is just for you! ** It can reveal information in advance that has been determined by the game seed but is not explicitly displayed in the original UI.
In other words, `RandomVision` **does not remove randomness**, but displays the **determined results** to you in advance as much as possible, allowing you to reduce the repetitive operation cycle of "enter the event -> view the results -> re-read the file if not satisfied". 🎮
🛠️ Current version features
- **Crystal Ball Event Insight Preview** 🔮
- Display an independent preview window on the question mark event page
- Display preview results grouped by options instead of cluttered text
- Label preview override status for each option:
- `Complete / Complete` ✅
- `Partial` ⚠️
- `Public / Visible` 👁️
- **Reveal in advance certain information that was not explicitly stated in the original game**, such as:
- Random card upgrades, downgrades and removals
- Random relic, potion and gold coin results
- The conversion result of a single card
- A list of real card reward candidates in some events
- Supports clicking on some card/relic/potion result entries in the preview window to view details
- Support **drag and drop the preview window** to move it to a more convenient location
🌐 Bilingual support status
The current version supports **Chinese and English bilingual output at runtime**, including:
- Preview window title
- status label
- Interactive prompts
- Crystal Ball Tags
- Most of the supplementary text generated by `RandomVision` itself
The game's native event titles and option texts will follow the game language switch. Now, the module's own runtime UI text will also switch as much as possible.
What needs to be explained is:
- This does not mean that all dynamic statements for extreme edge cases have been 100% manually polished.
- But for normal usage scenarios, this version can be regarded as **supporting bilingual operation in Chinese and English**.
🎯 Which players is it suitable for?
- Players who **don’t want** to repeatedly SL in order to confirm the outcome of the event
- Players who want to plan routes, gold coins, deck changes and event benefits more clearly
- Players who agree with the concept of "Since the seed has been decided, I should be allowed to know in advance"
- Players who wish to reduce the opacity of information in question mark events
🚫 What won’t it do?
- **WON'T** tamper with random number generation (RNG) for events
- **won’t** make the choice for you
- **Will not** fabricate a "single correct answer" when the outcome cannot be safely determined
If the outcome of an event still depends on:
- Which card do you choose next?
- Your choice order
- Subsequent battle or reward process
Then `RandomVision` will only display the current deepest, safely determined level, without pretending that the rest is also fixed.
📥 Installation method
- Exit the game completely.
- Copy the `mods/RandomVision` folder in the release package to the `mods` folder in the game root directory.
- Start the game and confirm that the module is loaded.
🎮 How to use
- After entering the event page, a small preview window will appear on the right side.
- A small window will display a summary of the results based on the current selection.
- Some deterministic results will be displayed as clickable items, which can be clicked to view details.
- You can drag the small window to move it to a more comfortable position.
⚠️ Current Limitations
- Not all events can be previewed fully expanded on the first page.
- Multi-card conversions and events that depend on …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
