Blight
☣️ **Blight** ✦ is a high difficulty challenge mod for **Slay the Spire 2**. It is based on the original **A10** and builds an independent challenge system around **Card Enchanting/Forging**: **Blight Advancement**, **Mutated Enemies**, **Double Wave Combat**, **Starting Negative Effects** and **Boss Special Enhancement**.
This is not a slight difficulty increase from the original, but a new mode that emphasizes **high risk/high reward/high build limit**.
---
✨ What can you expect?
- **Independent mode entrance**: Added **Famine Mode** and **Famine Online** buttons to the main menu.
- **Independent Difficulty Curve**: Instead of reusing the original Ascension text, a separate 0–5 level blight progression will be used.
- **More dangerous battles**: Mutated enemies, double-wave battles and enhanced bosses will continue to increase combat pressure.
- **More exaggerated growth**: Obtain forging rewards through battles, and add powerful or costly special effects to cards.
- **More complete pattern recognition**: Character selection, in-game prompts, and related UI will display corresponding text for famine mode.
---
📈 Advancement of Famine
Blight mode currently has separate **0–5 levels of difficulty**:
- **Blight 0**: Use original A10 as the base difficulty.
- **Blight 1**: There is a probability of **mutated enemies** appearing in normal battles and elite battles.
- **Blight 2**: Elite enemies are more dangerous and receive additional random enhancements.
- **Blight 3**: Get a random negative effect at the start.
- **Blight 4**: There is a probability of **Double Waves of Enemy Combat** appearing on the map.
- **Blight 5**: Boss gains additional Blight abilities.
The current version is still in Beta. At this stage, the desolate content of some enemies is still based on blood volume changes, and more AI and special abilities will be completed in subsequent versions.

⚔️ Core gameplay highlights
🦬 Mutated enemies
Starting from Blight 1, mutant individuals will appear in some battles. They are not just numerically higher, but they change combat expectations, reward values, and route decisions, making each round more unstable and oppressive.
☠️ Negative effects at the beginning
As the level of the blight increases, you may be saddled with negative effects at the start. This will directly affect early survival, resource management and overall rhythm, making route planning important from before the first battle.
🌊Double wave of enemy battles
Under high difficulty plague, some battles will appear in double waves. What you need to consider is no longer just "how to fight the current wave", but also battery life, retaining resources, and how to deal with the next wave of enemies.
🔥 Card enchantment and forging rewards
Blight mode adds an independent **Enchanting/Forging Reward** system. After high-risk battles such as elite battles and mutant battles, you have the opportunity to obtain special forging rewards that can give additional effects to cards, such as:
*Extra damage/extra block
- Reduced costs
- Keyword gains such as reserved/inherent/eternal/replay
- Cursed enhancements with obvious costs
- Special effects that focus on growth, continuous attacks or bursts
This makes the Blight mode not only more difficult, but also has higher explosive power and room for growth.

🎯 Which players is it suitable for?
Recommended for the following players:
- Already familiar with the original process and want to experience a higher pressure challenge.
- Like the growth mechanism where risk and reward coexist.
- I like card enhancement, construction changes and rando …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
