About this mod Machine translation

The only enemy level scaling system that makes sense! Simply put, the difference between PLAYABLE and UNPLAYABLE games for me.

The usual enemy expansion is the most annoying feature of my offline single player games. I hate it when my enemies get stronger after leveling up. If making your enemies stronger, what's the point of gaining experience? Unlocking the game can actually make things worse. Yes, you stop "sharing" your progress with your enemies, but is it really a good idea to play a game where you have the most OP advantage: you can get stronger, but your enemies can't? It's like playing a strategy game, you can develop new technologies, you can improve your cities and armies, you can conquer new territories, but your enemies cannot. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Your enemies are challenging even at the beginning of the game, all you need to do is spend time in the game and eventually you will "outshine" your opponents. boring.

Vanilla scaling system

Pros: I don't know.

Disadvantages: "Self-improvement" becomes pointless and even harmful in some ways.

Unequal game

Advantages: Lacking the capabilities of previous systems

Cons :) Cons: Boring game. Mechanical tricks that take time. Hard-to-make, often incompatible mods that can revolutionize just about anything and make a game unbeatable.

Location based enemy expansion

Advantages: Can sometimes be used successfully with a time-based enemy leveling system.

Cons: Turns an open world game into... well, not so open. "You can go there, but not there"

Time-based enemy scaling system

advantage:

  • Both early and late game are fun and challenging.
  • Just like in PVP games, you and your enemies will become stronger independently of each other, but you have the same amount of time, and only your excellent gaming skills and strategy will allow you to overtake, "over", outrun and win the game.
  • Time becomes an important resource, which itself introduces an interesting new gameplay mechanic to the game.
  • It's IMMERSIVE:)
  • It makes the game endlessly replayable (if you consider this an advantage)
  • Uses existing game mechanics, doesn't require much "overhaul". Super compatible (at least, the idea I implemented)
  • etc...

Cons: This is not for people who just want to spend time in the game and do nothing else.

In fact, my mod/guide not only gives you time-based leveling, but also lets you control enemy scaling. (We will discuss this later) it

How it works + How to use (Guide)

Most mods like Experience treat the vanilla experience system as part of player progression and XP earning as a good, beneficial thing for the player. I decided to take an unconventional approach and completely unlock the player XP mechanic (and tie it to time). With my system, leveling up is actually bad for you and good for your enemies. The vanilla player leveling system became an enemy scaling mechanic. For example, level 15 can tell you anything about a player's abilities, skills, or statistics. It only tells you things about enemies and the rest of the world, not the player. You don't get upgraded stats. All you get is stronger enemies.

This allows us to use vanilla mechanics to make enemies stronger at higher levels, which works to our advantage. And we don’t need to overhaul anything. We don't need to get rid of horizontal lists or anything like that. We're probably just sorting out the loot a little bit and not having any more serious issues.

Step 1: Install the mod

The main file requires ConsoleUtil

In Skyrim, your overall level is determined by the level of all your skills. (Who came up with this?) So, the first thing we have to do is completely unpack these things about each other. This is what my mod does, first of all. Additionally, it gives you spells that can trigger upgrades when needed. Leveling up this way doesn't give you stats or extra points. It only makes your enemies stronger. Of course, you must decide in advance what the conditions for upgrading will be.

Step 2: Find a …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
