About this mod Machine translation

If it's going to be weak, it's too weak! If you want to be strong, be strong.

Imagine a world of immersive challenges always within your reach!

By grabbing tons of stats from each NPC and calculating a new level based on RACE's stats and SIZE, we get incredibly immersive multipliers as a result, giving the NPCs in the game a wide variety of weaknesses and strengths, as can be expected from a time like this: for example, little spiders and mice will be very weak, and giant monsters and dragons will be very powerful! Medium races are also weak/strong respectively.

This is a great tool for consolidating and balancing your modlist, as it calculates everything based on the changes your chosen mods apply to NPC classes and/or races! That's why I call it "retrospective therapy."

Consider taking a moment to look at the gif/image I uploaded to get an idea of what it does.

Actual end results may vary due to mods, changes/updates, and changes to game settings.

(Note: These screens are taken from a massive modlist of over 900 mods, based on LEXYs guide.)

describe

Here is a set of xEdit scripts that will:

Calculate the "strength" of each NPC and set it to scale with the PC using the appropriate scaling factor.

There is also a re-leveler variant. (ATM was happy with the results, but I generally use it as a utility to run perk patches before scaling)

Recalculate RACE statistics based on your own AND size. This will boost every game to a great extent. (required if using rescaling script)

Unlock the encounter area. (must also have rescaling capabilities)

What you can expect from Zoom: (estimate so far)

The decay of rabbits, cubs and other small animals is as low as 0.01

Medium-sized creatures (such as most humanoids) range from 0.5 to 2.0. This is essentially related to each NPC.

Large enemies such as snow bears, werewolves, and trolls are likely to be around 2.0, or above.

Very large creatures such as dragons will most likely hit the limit (which can be set in the script) of 4 atm.

The exception will be bosses like the Dragon Priest, who will be extremely powerful due to the number of stats assigned to them.

NOTE: Results may vary, as the formula not only calculates size and race, but also weights in each NPC's statistics (HMS), so in most cases you can predict that bandits will probably have less than 1.0 decay, while bosses (even bandit bosses) will be at least 2.0 or cool.

compatibility

Mods are all compatible.

It is highly recommended to use Wildcat or any other mod that can control DAMAGE income/output.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
