About this mod Machine translation
Enhanced lighting and FX compatibility patch with Dawn of Skyrim Director's Cut.
There are no hard incompatibilities between the enhanced lighting and FX and Dawn of Skyrim. However, if you use both, you may notice inconsistencies in objects in the Skyrim clip, ELFX's fixtures, the ghost lights (which don't have corresponding fixtures), and general inconsistencies in lighting.
This patch is designed to address these issues for those like me who suffer from mild OCD. Published with permission from BluePianoTwo and Anamorfus.
What this patch does:
Move or delete clipped objects.
Eliminate ghost lights.
Add light to a fixture that has no fixture.
For consistency, change the light type or color.
Eliminate slight lights to reduce some flickering.
As an added bonus, this patch fixes an issue with the ledge getting stuck outside the Temple of Daedra in the Windhelm Gray Quarter by increasing the ledge size, and adjusts some of the items placed outside during King Olaf's burning of Bard's College in Solitude, so they don't interfere with the new items added in Dawn of Skyrim Director's Cut.
Do you need this patch?
No, this patch is not required. If you don't notice or don't care about clipping, ghost lights, etc., you don't need this fix. ELFX and Skyrim's Dawn work together without any real bugs, so this fix is purely cosmetic. I made this patch for personal use but thought there might be others who would like to use both mods without compromise.

Known issues:
There is a lantern floating to the left of the door to Elgrim's Elixir in Riften. For some reason this particular lantern does not appear in my creative kit and cannot be moved or removed. It is safe to disable it via console command or markfordelete as there is no corresponding light source.
ATTN SKYRIM SE users: Simply load it into SSE Creation Kit and re-save to easily convert it to SSE. Thanks to FollkenSama for testing this method. If you experience crashes after converting to SSE, user DagoC92 reported successfully running this ESP in SSE without converting.
Update log:
V1.12 - Cleaned and reorganized Dawn of ELFX.esp plugin via xEdit as requested by user Project579 V1.1 - Dawn of ELFX.esp no longer requires ELFX-Enhancer.esp as a master. If you happen to be using a modified version of ELFX-Exteriors.esp that restores glowing windows on buildings, building windows added by Dawn of Skyrim will now emit the appropriate color instead of just white.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
