About this mod Machine translation

When I was looking for a mod that would change my gaming experience and be coherent with the lore in The Elder Scrolls series, I realized that there was none and that most people would be too intrusive and unfriendly to that lore, so I decided to create my own mod that would be able to change the gaming experience without copying the game to other games.

Friendly game adjustments

My first Elder Scrolls game was TES III Morrowind, and as you probably know from a game mechanics standpoint, they've made things easier and easier with each release. They usually end up doing or creating things that aren't very friendly to lore lore, and I firmly agree that the guys at Bethesda are just doing this to keep something balanced in the game. I'd like something to be like before with less power fantasy and more knowledge of kills, but I'm not there yet, but I will eventually.

The changes I made come from the mighty Elder Scrolls, and after playing it for over 5000 hours, I certainly think I have two things to say about the game's balance and how it makes the player feel less rewarded. Overwhelms the environment.

I've roughly tested all the changes I've made in the game, I've played 175 hours (yes I know a lot, could be done in less time, but for personal preference I don't use the fast travel mechanic, just cars and boats) with my mod, hoping to get all I've got Changed items and stuff, I don't feel like using the console to get items is the right way to test my own mod, I want (Akatosh can only know how many times) the process of getting items itself, and whether the changes I make balance the effort you put in as a player and the rewards you get.

Every change I've made so far feels so natural that if you haven't played the game (yeah, right) you wouldn't know that certain things were the cause of the mod. I can say it feels like vanilla quality, no, don't get me wrong, there are no bugs in this mod as far as I know, most of what the mod does is just overwrite content, I don't have the mod in my textures or scripts, and if you ever encounter a bug and it's my mod that is causing it, feel free to let me know in the comments section so I can figure out the possibility of the problem with the mod.

For those of you who want to adapt my gaming philosophy to these changes, I would describe it as the "old ways", not everything has to be rewarding, things can have drawbacks, not everything has to be good for the player, and not everything has to be good for all types of characters, just like in the past, it has to be the same.

User: Ok sir, can you finally tell us what your mod does?

My mod does a lot of things, mostly small changes that provide big changes.

A fully documented change log is included in the download record.

I'll give you a brief overview of the most relevant changes, but more explanation is needed. Please download the mod and read the PDF file.

I created a ward to amplify the damage done by your destruction spells

This enchantment will make pure mages more viable on higher difficulties, there are 3 main archetypes, mage, thief and warrior, in terms of damage they are DPS, critical damage and raw damage respectively, and they are on skilled difficulty, for those who don't know yet, skilled difficulty treats the damage swap like (PC) x1 vs x1 (NPC), legendary difficulty is 0.25 vs x3, this fake difficulty is ultimately relegated to mages like me who want to participate in the excitement of 1KO more often.

With this new enchantment, the damage philosophy will remain the same above any difficulty, and mages will have the highest DPS on any difficulty.

This enchantment isn't a copy and paste of alchemy like all the mods I've downloaded when trying to survive on higher difficulties (yes, I'm a fan of running away to save my life, after all, the mage has to use those 100 stamina points), the enchantment itself works like it was available in the original game from the start, you can learn it and use it, and have the s …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
