About this mod Machine translation
Foods restore health over time rather than having a small immediate healing effect.
Just changing the effects of food. Food does not restore health immediately, but slowly over time.
I simply used TES5Edit to change the "FoodRestoreHealth" effect to "FoodRestoreHealthDuration" for most foods, adjust the value (price), change the magnitude, and add the duration. That’s all.
This is a simple and messy attempt to replicate Enderal's Food System and Subsistence Mod's SSE. This effect cannot detect recovery in combat or in combat.

Q: Why does the food effect appear as "Restores *0* health points per second for ???? seconds".
A. To prevent the effect from being too strong, most foods restore a small amount of health every second. It can be above 0.25. When Skyrim reads decimal numbers, it rounds the numbers. So our food is actually restored over time, but shown as 0 per second.
The general rule is that the relationship between healthy foods (such as fruit and desserts) and more complex foods (such as cooked foods and raw foods) will get better and better. Likewise, foods with a longer duration of effect will generally heal more points per second.
Q: How do I turn off automatic health regeneration?
A: Easy & hacky: open the console (press ~) and type: forceav healrate 0
Alternatively, try SkyTweak or another mod to set health regeneration to zero.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
