Version 1.1.5 - Released January 4, 2015
Bugs squash ed:
Many and various bugs related to level expansion. #112 - At least in more cases. Keep in mind that imported character levels (i.e., the levels you see if you use the getlevel console command) will rarely reach the original levels, but the levels of various characters will be scaled appropriately according to the category, or match the original values. Checks are now more frequent, so it should work more reliably.
Trophies would sometimes not appear after saving or moving a character in the Shrine. #104
Version 1.1.4 - Released January 1, 2015
If you use RACEMENU 3, you need this version (or higher)!
Squashed bug:
Portal Stone STILL sometimes does not appear in player inventories. #107
Imported characters sometimes don't respond at all when talking to them. #108
The ScriptLatency test script is starting and will not close, filling the screen with notifications. #109
The new RaceMenu version check needs to be adjusted. #110
Characters sometimes arrive with armor, but no weapons. #111
Future updates aka VERT?
The past two years have been difficult for me. In general, there's a lot of crap going on that keeps me from modding. However, I want to come back. Familiar Faces 2 is exactly the same as it was when I last updated it, and it's taking its time to pick up where I left off. But I hope it does and I hope it does and plan to do it this year, both Classic and SSE.

1.1 has been released!
Version 1.1 requires JContainers 3.1.0 or higher! Install it before upgrading or you risk losing character data!
Upgrading from 1.0.x
Make absolutely sure you have JContainers 3.1.0 or higher installed. You'll also want to have RaceMenu 2.9.1 or higher. Just install the new Familiar Faces on top of the current version (if you're using Mod Organizer, it should be safe to use "Merge" instead of "Replace"). The first time you load a game with 1.0.x installed, your Shrine will shut down and restart. If you loaded 12 characters, this might take a minute. The characters you have may disappear. If this happens, you can bring them back by visiting a shrine or resummoning them using the MCM's Shrine page. Their old custom location may also be lost, so be sure to assign them a Hangout! Once JContainers are upgraded, you must upgrade FF as older versions will not work with new versions of JContainers.
New features in 1.1.0
Hangouts manager
This will replace the old half-baked custom position with a customizable Hangout system to control the character's position on import.
Characters will use the location where Portal Stone saves them in their character files, and will appear there by default when imported into another game.
All imported Hangouts can be viewed through MCM. Any character can be assigned to any Hangout, and in most cases, multiple characters can be assigned to a single Hangout. In other words, those who want to build an army of Blades or Companions or Wizards are now able to do so.
Simply go to the location and use the Portal stone again to create additional custom hangouts. You can choose to add your current location as a Hangout.
Characters can also be set up to wander from town to town instead of living in one place.
Your hangouts are stored in their own files and persist across all saved games.
Better NPC behavior
Characters will now use IdleMarkers (walls, etc.) and exhibit more appropriate behavior based on their hangout's location.
Town or city characters will wander around shops, visit people in open houses, go to inns or temples if available, and sleep if they can find a free bed.
Guild Home Characters assigned to a hangout at or near a guild location will mostly beh …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
