Description
This program can be used to localize MODs for Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas. It can also be used to translate "dialog" files from old Bioware games (Baldur's gate, Planescape...).
The application uses a database (you must download one on the download page, or create it yourself) which contains every text of the game in English and other languages (according to the database).
The program can directly translate scripts (no need to recompile, no need to decompress BSA, automatically analyzes script files when opening ESP files, except for Fallout games) and MCM menus.
How it works:
-Analyze selected Mods
-Try to find a translation for each text in the database
-Try to translate each text found in a custom library (if you have made or defined one)
-You can then complete the translation work according to the situation
-Click the Enable Translation button to complete the translation of the Mod
Install
- Download the program zip package and unzip it in any directory
- Download the database and extract it to the BDD folder
- Run the program to select the language (restart the program to take effect)
- Set the encoding to "UTF-8" and the database to "BDD_Skyrim_EN-CN". Set other settings according to your own preferences and you can start translation.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
