About this mod Machine translation

This is the first Enb in a potential ENB series that pays homage to my favorite TES character. This ENB is designed to bring high fantasy visuals, but also tries to maintain the rustic and realistic look of the Rudy ENB.

Install:

Step 1:

  • Download the latest ENB (this preset heavily utilizes the new grass settings so older versions are not supported!).

-Copy only "d3d9.dll", "enbhost.exe", and add "enblocal.ini" from the Wrapper folder to your Skyrim directory (where the game launcher.exe is, not the Data directory).

-Open enblocal.ini and edit it appropriately for your driver. Please pay special attention to the operation of the [Memory] section.

Step 2:

-Put in the enbseries folder and then the enbseries.ini file from my mod in the same location.

  • (Optional) Place the TTS Weathers in the Skyrim Data directory or zip it, open it with Mod Oragnizer and install it like a mod.

This small module makes some minor adjustments to weather areas. It increases the chance of aurora weather and moves

Some weather. (Why the white tundra weather in the Forgotten Valley? Maybe my eyes can't see it)

Step 3: (optional, but consider these factors to make enb a reality). I don't know how it looks without them)

-Install "vivid weather" and disable esp. You'll use it for amazing cloud textures.

  • Do not expose ELFX to outside weather, enhancers or anything else when installing.

-Install ELE Lite v0.95.

  • (Optional) Install realistic sun for enb 240
  • (Optional) For the stars, I used Lorkhan's Vision v2, although this mostly depends on your taste.

Step 4:

-Edit SkyrimPrefs.ini

Here I strongly recommend you to follow the guide, but the most important settings should be these...

bTreesReceiveShadows = 1

bDrawLandShadows = 1

bShadowsOnGrass = 1

bFloatPointRenderTarget = 1-

Set the RGB output dynamic range in the graphics card control panel setting to 0-255 instead of the default 16-235. (Thank you rudy)

-In SkyrimPrefs.ini, set brightness to lowest (same display settings) or set fGamma = 1.4000.

important!

Almost everything affects how light or dark a game looks. Starting with the obvious things like resolution, using dirty VGA cables,

Monitor properties and calibration, to sitting in a chair, how much light comes into the room and the tilt of the screen (try it now). So if you think my Enb is too light/dark/saturated/whatever, press shift+enter and go to the shader parameters and edit

Some basic settings in enbeffect.fx and effect.txt.

ENB function + unimportant clutter and speechless:

So...what's the significance of my ENB?

Location Weather... By default, all vanilla internal environments use the weather when you are outside, meaning that if you enter Morthal's Inn while there is MorthalRainy weather outside, it will use the internal settings from the MorthalRainy weather file. Any questions? Well, if you then head to the nearby Vampire Cave in rainy weather, the same MorthalRainy.ini internal settings will be used when walking around the cave. -You may ask...

I'm sure you can imagine that a deep underground cavern with open windows during the day would be a bit strange to a building with the same interior setup (ambient light!). Unless I use forced weather specifically for the cave, my possibilities with the appearance of the Morthal Hotel and the Vampire Cave will be very limited, because if I want the cave to look the same regardless of day or night, it should look the same. Yes, I have to do the same thing for the hotel. Why do caves look the same no matter what time of day it is? Because it is a deep underground cave. There were no windows or anything, and the sun couldn't illuminate anything inside. That's why it would make more sense to have the interior lighting pretty much the same no matter what time of day it is, since it depends on the torches/fires inside.

This is why I use location-specific weather for almost every Skyrim dungeon/cave/dwarf city/etc. I remember asking rudy if it was a good idea to just put the 2139 …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
