About this mod Machine translation

Implement the possibility of inflicting visual elemental effects on slain enemies and corpses, as well as adding magic critical strikes to various elemental magics.

V2 also allows undead enemies to rise from the dead a few times to fight back, and is a much tougher challenge.

Introduction:

First of all, I designed this mod to be a "spiritual successor" to an already existing mod that I already really liked, called Burn Freeze Shock Effects by Pauderek. It's not that my mod isn't updated, it doesn't use anything from the original BFS, it's a completely separate entity, which makes the two mods incompatible, but... if you want to pay proper credit, you might want to consider downloading the original if you haven't done so already and giving credit.

describe:

Elemental effects: Elemental magic causes elemental visual effects on enemy corpses, for example, fire makes them burn, ice creates a hoarfrost effect, and light makes them twitch, but there are also varying degrees of burning, different from the fire effect.

Important Hits: Elemental magic in life, also capable of causing important hits, expressed through messages, sounds, and visuals. Critical hits deal additional damage based on the character's level and damaging skills.

Overkill: Higher level Magical Effect (Expert) spells, will affect death regardless, however, they have the opportunity to apply an "overkill" mechanic that can turn enemies into ash in the case of fire/lightning magic, or turn them into crystallized ice in the case of frost magic. It is meant to create the impression that this level of magic is so powerful that the effects it causes are more extreme than regular effects.

Crystallization: In particular, the ice overkill effect has the potential to crystallize the opponent. In the vanilla game, some perks also increase this chance in the form of Ice Form effects, but this mod takes it to the next level as it also integrates Ice Form type effects into its mechanics, changes the visual effects associated with crystallization, gives life to a small chance to crystallize the enemy's life, and most importantly, it allows the crystallized cast to break. Meaning, hitting a crystallized enemy has a chance of causing them to explode into pieces. You can turn them into ice blocks and make them explode by attacking them. (This chance is much lower for alive enemies to ensure the game remains balanced)

Insta-Kill: Cicals also have a small chance to kill an enemy, or even the player, if the option is in effect on MCM.

MCM Menu: Yes, my first MCM. From there, it is possible to configure which features the mod wants to keep active and which ones not, as well as being able to control the calculation of the probability of the effect occurring.

Cooking: Just like the original BFS, if the victim of an elemental effect has certain types of meat in their inventory, it will get cooked versions of them, giving the appropriate effects, and I've also included passive support for the Harvest Overhaul item.

Ash Piles: Yeah, I changed some meshes and glow maps because I noticed with my ENBs, they looked too shiny when they shouldn't. Delete the ash texture file if you don't want it or use ash pile's replacer.

Version 2.0 (Beta):

Resurrection of the Undead: Adds a brand new feature to the mod that allows undead enemies to rise again after death. The system is also designed to replicate the functionality of another pre-existing mod, True Undead. However, I made my own design because that's the way I found to make both functions compatible. Technically I'm using the same controller abilities as my mod to detect race and death on the undead so they can rise again. Most features of this new setup are fully configurable via a new page on the MCM menu.

How to kill the undead:

By default the mod is set to only raise the undead 2 more times after the initial battle (also configurable by the MCM), this is to ensure that the dungeons are more challenging but not annoying, especially for …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
