About this mod Machine translation

In AZTweaks version 3.3.0 and later, there has been a comprehensive adjustment for Requiem, aiming to change Requiem to a version that suits my vision. As the game ends, things will become more deadly and players will become less powerful, while still maintaining a sense of fairness and balance. Balanced for DiD.

Design concept:

Make the game more difficult because for many veterans the game feels too easy. Early games will last longer and your ability to scale will be reduced. Hopefully this doesn't make everything mean or too ridiculous. hope. There should still be a certain level of realism and weight to the game. The fight should be tough as nails from the start, but if you're brave enough, it'll be enough to handle level one bandits. Combat is balanced against the "best" race/class combos (such as Bosmer Archer, Imperial Swordsman, or Altmer Mage), so don't be surprised if your Orc Sorcerer is the weakling.

Trying to improve the game's paper-scissors samurai/mage/archer balance.

Cool things should be cool. My biggest gripe with AZ tweaks is the disappointment when you find neat artifacts like Arch-Mage's robes and realize they've become so nerdy that they're no longer really any better than your robes. Therefore, I tried to preserve the relative power of Daedric artifacts, and also improve upon the less impressive rare items present in the game. In addition to polishing a lot of forgotten items and treasures, I also tried to keep a good portion of the most ruthless criminals. For example, the Corrupted Skull is now decidedly impractical due to the many limitations on its abilities, but it's still a true death's ray if you put in the effort. Now, the magic is difficult to master and shouldn't gradually spiral out of control, but it still retains the "powerful magic" feel of Requiem as you gradually increase your skill level. Illusions have been greatly enhanced and can now be solved with enough magic and shadow fog to solve any problem. The biggest game-breaking items, skills, or strays have lost their ability to make the game completely trivial, but a greater variety should make it more exciting.

Try something completely different and see what works. If my experimental features (like a modified XP system, vampirism, stamina drain, poison, or business gold) end up going bad, I'd rather try them out first and get a little more familiar with them. I think even if I could win gold a hundred times just using features, changes, or game mechanics, it would be worth it.

Keep things (relatively) clean and simple. I've made extensive changes to almost everything, but I hope I've learned something from previous overhaul attempts like BtC, AZ Tweaks, and Breaking Bad. I think quality of life and understandability are paramount, so I try to limit overly esoteric mechanics where possible (for example, overhauling God's Blessings is often guilty of being too complex)

Use scripts to do what other overhauls can't. Even simple scripts can do a lot of things that wouldn't be possible directly without them, and with scripts I was able to edit many of the features of vanilla Requiem, such as Mass Effect, Vampire, and Illusion.

Disclaimer:

The mod is unfinished and may not be balanced enough. Use at your own risk, but please do complain to me! I need feedback. All of my most important features are in place, and there aren't huge missing pieces of balance, but I don't think everything is as polished as it could be. Try it and tell me how you feel.

There's no SSE version yet, but if you play SSE you should definitely be able to update it yourself since the mod is mostly just an ESP and a bunch of scripts.

My edits to the Requiem script seem fine, but their presence means your Requiem warranty is void. Please don't bother the developers of my mods that ruin your game.

Requires Fozar's Dragonborn. Mortal Enemies has been updated and integrated into my mod so you don't need to install it. Unfortunately, Fozar's is not fully compatible with Requi …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
