RDR2 Texture ToolKit

🚨 **Note: This tool has been discontinued**

---

✨ How it works

This tool is developed based on Neodymium's GTA5 texture toolkit and is specifically used to create RDR2 texture files (.ytd format). It uses the RedM client's "ytd" file converter to convert the file into a format recognized by RDR2.

🔧 **Features:**

  • Only .ytd files can be created, existing files cannot be exported or loaded
  • Requires OpenIV to handle file export
  • Simplified RDR2 Ytd file creation process

---

📖 Tutorial

  • **New Project** - Open the program and click File > New
  • **Import file** - Click Edit > Import (only supports DDS format files)
  • **Save File** - Click File > Save when finished editing
  • **File processing** - Two .ytd files will be generated, the file with "_nya" suffix can be used for RDR2
  • **Rename for use** - Rename the "_nya" file to use it in Lenny's Mod Loader

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
