Enhanced FPS Hipfire and Aiming
🎯 Module function
This mod revolutionizes the first-person shooting experience in Red Dead Redemption 2! By adjusting the position of hands and weapons when firing from the hip and aiming, gun battles look more cool and dynamic. The animation blending speed has also been optimized to make the transition between various shooting states smoother and more natural.
🔄 Update log
**Version 1.1** - Adjusted a lot of ADS values, improved animation blending speed, fixed some alignment issues with previous mods
**Version 1.2** - Dual-wielding weapons updated, it is now possible to create custom animation sets for certain actions
**Version 1.3** - Fixed issues when aiming and quickly switching hip fire/ADS, fixed lance alignment issues
🎮 Game Mechanics Description
"Red Dead Redemption 2" has three different shooting states and corresponding animation data sets:
- **hip shot** (left click alone)
- **Aim now** (right click to aim, the crosshair is still there)
- **ADS** (right click to aim + scroll wheel to aim up)
This mod improves all three states, making first-person gunplay more dynamic and "modern", which is how I've been playing for three years now!
⚙️ Technical details
This module is based on the default FOV value of the Custom FOV module. FOV problems may occur when using other values.
The module is built on the basis of the Ironsight module. By modifying the animation coordinate values in the firstperson.meta file, the hip-fire looks much cooler than the original version - in the original version you can barely see the gun being fired!

📝 Installation instructions
I uploaded a modified firstperson.meta file that also includes adjustments to the iron sights and defaults all FOV values to 62. You can adjust it to your preference.
If your firstperson.meta file has been heavily modified, or you do not want it to be overwritten, you can manually insert the following values in lines 109 and 373:
**One-handed weapon configuration:**
```xml
FPCO_GUN_HIP
```
**Two-hand weapon configuration:**
```xml
FPCO_GUN_HIP
```

This seemingly simple animation editing greatly improves the game experience. The slightly off-center design of the gun will not block the aiming sight, but also allows you to enjoy the wonderful first-person animation effect!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
